ABC/Ida Mae Astute(LOS ANGELES) — Demi Lovato recently revealed that she wants Ed Sheeran to sing at her wedding. So does that mean she’s expecting Wilmer Valderrama to put a ring on it soon? The singer, who turns 23 today, tells E! News she’s in no hurry to walk down the aisle.
“I’m literally turning 23 this week,” she says. “There’s no rush. We’ve been together so long [that] there’s no rush.”
Even so, Demi does admit she enjoys thinking about wedding planning. “Every girl does that,” she says. “I was planning my wedding when I was, like, 10!”
She says the image-sharing app Pinterest is especially dangerous. “All of a sudden you have your whole wedding planned out and you don’t even have a boyfriend,” she jokes.
Demi, of course, does have a devoted boyfriend. Wilmer hinted back in February the two will likely get married someday. “It’s something that I definitely look forward to in the future,” he told E! News at the time. “We’ll see.”
Meanwhile, in honor of Demi’s birthday, Kelly Clarkson covered Demi’s “Cool for the Summer” at her Los Angeles concert Wednesday night.
“She’s always been so supportive and so cool,” said Kelly, who also announced her second pregnancy at the show. “To see a kid that used to go to my shows have this huge, lustrous career…she’s just killin’ it. I thought I would, for her birthday, sing ‘Cool For The Summer.'”
Demi responded on Twitter, writing, “WOW WOW WOW.. @kelly_clarkson thank you SO MUCH for covering #coolforthesummer at your show tonight!!! BEST BDAY GIFT EVER!! *literal tears*”
