Hi everyone! I hope you aren't tired of Halloween collections because I have another one for you today. If you follow Jindie Nails you may have already seen the new Halloween collection for this year. If not, you are in for a treat! And this collection is soon to be discontinued, so if you want to get your mitts on them, you need to act fast...more on that at the end of my post. :)
Jindie Nails Halloween 2013 Collection
What I love about this collection is that the polishes don't all scream "Halloween" to me. Yes, there is your candy corn coloured polish, and your blood red polish. But these aren't the usually black and orange combinations that we expect. They are also perfect for Halloween because they all glow under blacklight and one has glow-in-the-dark glitter. Unfortunately I don't own a blacklight, so I can't show you that aspect, but you'll have to trust me - or go to the Jindie Nails website to see other blogger photos.

Be-Wear the Polish is a clear-based glitter topper with a very visible purple iridescent shimmer, neon green, kelly green, neon purple, lavender and black glitter in circles, stars, hexes, diamonds and squares. This was 1 coat plus touch ups over OPI My Vampire is Buff, and I absolutely love this combination - I'm still wearing it! I found that it went on very easily and I didn't have to fuss too much with the glitter.

Be-Wear the Polish is the only one out of the five with glow-in-the-dark glitter. As you can see from my photo, it's not in-your-face glow in the dark, rather it looks more like scattered stars, or fireflies. I rather like it.

Blood, Bath & Beyond is a cool red jelly, with the colour leaning slightly towards magenta. It has silver holo circles, squares and tiny glitter. Also small iridescent hexes that you can really only see when the light hits them. Application-wise it goes on very smoothly, however, I still had some visible nail line even after three coats (which is what you're seeing in these photos).

Ghosts of Candy Corn Past is a cream/off-white crelly with a subtle gold shimmer and yellow, orange, black and white square, round, and rectangular glitter. The application was good, even though it was not completely self-leveling. I did find that it had a great consistency with the perfect amount of glitter. And I like that it isn't so bright like some polishes that have a candy corn theme. This was 3 coats.

Pink Punkin' is an orange crelly - the colour falls in between a pastel and a neon - with a subtle pink shimmer and neon pink and white hex, square, and circle glitter. The application was very good on this one - perfect consistency and just enough, but not too much glitter. There is something about the colours in this one that I find so appealing. The base reminds me of an orange creamsicle and I love the pink/orange combination, it's very flashy. This was 3 coats and I used a coat of Gelous to even it out before applying a top coat.

There Are No Seasons In Indie is a pale yellow crelly with purple, red, pink, orange, and neon pink glitter in circles, hexes, diamonds and squares. This also has a great formula with perfect consistency. The colours definitely remind me of a spring polish, yet the fact that it glows under blacklight gives it an edge. This was 3 coats, and there is still some visible nail line, but any more coats would make this polish too thick. You know what I mean?

Out of the five, my favourites are Be-Wear the Polish and There Are No Seasons In Indie - I think the colours are pretty (yes, I know that's not the best wording in the context of a Halloween collection!) and I think they would look good year round.
As for availability, this collection will be discontinued after Halloween, and they are currently on sale on the Jindie Nails website. If you want them by Halloween, and you're in the US, you'll need to order by Thursday (today, the 24th) to get them on time. These are also at Mei Mei's Signatures, but I haven't seen them at any of the other distributors.
