The first ever Rockstar Social Club Grand Theft Auto Online event will be held this weekend, Rockstar has confirmed. The Beach Party will be held on Vespucci beach and begin later today.
Rockstar will kick off the first event with a two-hour livestream, beginning at 2pm EST (7pm GMT and 11am PST). You can check out the stream on Twitch or the Rockstar Social Club.
Rockstar has decided to hold the Beach Party in order to showcase the new, free DLC, the Beach Bum Pack. The first GTA Online DLC was released a few days ago along with a new title update.
Beach Bum Pack includes new weapons, beach themed vehicles, new tattoos, hairstyles, and new Jobs. Players can participate in beach and coastal themed Gang Attacks, Survivals, Last Team Standings, Parachutes, Deathmatches and Races. Some of the content will be available in the single player campaign as well as Online.
The event will be accompanied by an RP boost as well as allowing players to acquire high-powered weapons. Rockstar has set up a Playlist of 10 of their favorite jobs to be played during the Beach Party.
Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online are available now for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The first story mode DLC is set to be released next year, said to be set in North Yankton.
