Super Mario Run seems to have had a pretty stellar launch yesterday. Analytics site Apptopia has revealed that the game was downloaded approximately 2.85 million times, making it the biggest launch day ever on the App Store.

For those of you wondering, this does beat out Pokemon GO which hit about 900,000 downloads on its first day on the market, although it was available in significantly less countries. Super Mario Run was released in 150 countries yesterday.

It’s also worth noting that the download for Super Mario Run is free. Afterward, there is a fee of $9.99 users can pay to unlock the entire game. How many people elected to make the upgrade is anyone’s guess.

Did you download Super Mario Run? What do you think of it?
