Periodic Audio will be joining the growing earbuds market with its first three models, which are set to debut at CanJam NYC 2017, which takes place from February 4-5.

The in-ear monitors include the pure beryllium Be model, pure titanium Ti, and a high-magnesium content magnesium/aluminum alloy for the Mg model. All Periodic Audio in-ear monitors use a single wideband dynamic transducer design, which eliminates the crossover network-there are no electrical components between the amplifier and the transducer. This design, says Periodic, is responsible for "smooth, clean sound throughout the frequency range."

The bodies are constructed of polycarbonate, allowing for innate flexibility and acoustical damping properties. Each IEM uses proprietary enclosure designs with precision-ported chambers both in front of and behind each transducer. Several elements of this design are patent pending, and leverage the extensive product design background of the company's founders.

"Our team has worked with some of the biggest brands in entertainment; we are confident in our ability to design outstanding products," says Periodic Audio co-founder Dan Wiggins. "We strongly believe that great audio reproduction should be accessible and easy to experience, and we have used this as the guiding principle for our new designs. Our collective efforts have yielded a lineup of in-ear monitors that provide music lovers an opportunity to enjoy the highest quality entertainment experience on the go."

All three models come with a selection of small, medium and large tips, made from various materials, including single-flange silicone, dual-flange silicone, and memory foam construction. Additionally, Periodic IEMs are compatible with a variety of aftermarket tips.

A gold plated ΒΌ" jack and airplane adapters are also included, along with a stylish carry tin.

All models feature a low microphonic, highly flexible 1.6-metre cable made with 99.999% pure copper Litz-construction cable with precision-molded rubber strain reliefs and guides, a durable jacket of polyethylene terephthalate and 3.5mm plug of gold-plated brass. This design, says Periodic, results in "pure sonic transparency to provide extremely wide bandwidth, very low distortion and high sensitivity."

All three of Periodic Audio's debut IEMs will be available for pre-order on February 15 at www.periodicaudio.com, and shipping beginning early March. The Mg will sell for an MSRP of US$99, the Ti for US$199, and the Be for US$299.
