The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has opened a new depot in Toronto. While services are available as of today, a special grand opening is scheduled for January 30, 2017.

ERA, a not for profit organization that helps reduce unnecessary e-waste and its adverse environmental contribution through the recovery, refurbishment and donation of electronic and IT equipment since 2004. ERA currently has locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Montreal.

"We are excited to bring a new e-waste solution to Toronto," says Bojan Paduh, President of the ERA. "Reuse is an extremely important first step in the technology cycle, and we're committed to responsibly extending the life of technology while addressing the digital divide through our computer donation program. There is a real need in the community for this type of service, and we are looking forward to contributing to Toronto's overall sustainability."

ERA will work with individuals and corporations to reuse and refurbish computers, laptops and other electronic equipment, and make valuable technology donations to local communities.

ERA's Toronto depot is located at 8 491 Brimley Rd. in Toronto. Equipment can be dropped off at this location for reuse or recycling. Pickup and physical data destruction services can be arranged by calling (416) 477-0664.
