While most reptiles are not concerned with clothing and footwear, it seems eastern brown snakes may have an opinion after all.
This healthy specimen was found in a yard in Moana, Australia. As the resident walked outside, she saw the tail of something brown slither into her Ugg boot! Got to admit, this thing looks pretty snuggly in there.
You may be thinking, smart snake! But this is fairly typical behavior for snakes. Not so much the fascination with Ugg boots, but snakes do aggressively search out warm, damp areas to hang out.
Since snakes are cold-blooded animals, they are constantly looking for areas like this where they can cuddle up and stay warm. This pair of boots seemed to be the perfect spot for this chilly snake. I have to agree, it does look like a perfect place to take a nap.
