Annual fair
Bradley Point Garden Club will hold its annual Holiday Fair and Bake Sale on Friday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby at West Haven City Hall, 355 Main St.. There will be baked goods, raffle, and other items. Proceeds benefit civic projects in West Haven. The public is invited. The next monthly meeting will be noon on Tuesday, Nov. 17, in the lower level of West Haven City Hall. Luncheon will be served; program will be fleece blanket workshop. New members are welcome. ‘Breathe Strong’
The Healthy West Haven Collaborative and The COPD Foundation are coming together for the first time ever holding a Breathe Strong Rally on Friday, Nov. 13 to support and honor those battling COPD in West Haven at the West Haven Italian-American Club, 85 Chase Lane, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. November is COPD awareness month and Nov. 19 is National Smoke Out Day. OLOV Fair
On Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 am to 4 pm & Sunday, November 22, 8 am to 1 pm. Our Lady of Victory will host its annual Christmas Fair.Start your holiday shopping, many vendors will be present selling items such as jewelry. There will be Divine Mercy with religious items, crocheted items, hand bags, and so many more, raffles, & food concession. Country Fair
The annual Country Fair, sponsored by First and Wesley United Methodist Church, 89 Center is set for Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast is served 8-10:30 and lunch is from 11:30-2:30. On sale will be crafts, homemade baked goods, a tag sale and much more. The church has parking and is handicapped-accessible.
Rally Nov. 13
Healthy West Haven Collaborative is sponsoring “Breathe Strong Rally to support and honor those battling COPD. The event will be held on Friday, Nov. 13 at the West Haven Italian-American Club, 85 Chase Lane, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. A group of medical professionals, individuals with COPD, families and friends will gather together to demonstrate their support of loved ones who are fighting COPD. The rally is a celebration, a festive parade-like atmosphere, great tunes and delicious refreshment where everyone feels like they are making a difference. If you have been diagnosed with COPD or you are a supporter or interested in learning more about COPD, this event is for you!

Turkey Drop-off
A “Turkey Drop-off for WHEAT will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 11 a.m. To 2 p.m. in the St. John Vianney Church Hall, Captain Thomas Boulevard. Drop off a turkey and stay for some hot chocolate.
Pumpkin Patch Fair
First Lutheran Church, 52 George St., will be hosting its annual fair on Saturday, Nov. 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. On sale: home-made baked goods such as cakes, pies, candy, breads, and cookies. Also white elephants items, raffles of turkey baskets, pet baskets, baby, s etc. Also refreshments will be sold such as hot dogs, chili and Stowe’s clam chowder and desserts. Monthly sale
The First Congregational Church, 464 Campbell Ave., will host its monthly used book sale, white elephant sale and SERRV Shop on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. until 2. In addition there will be a bake sale to benefit the West Haven Green Nursery School. Annual ‘Markt’
Sunday, Dec. 6, The Harugari Club, 66 Highland St., will be hosting its annual Christkindlmarkt. Christmas crafts and gift will be on sale. Homemade baked goods will also be for sale. Doors open at noon. Admission to the markt is free. A rindsrouladen dinner will be served at 2. Cost of the dinner is $15 for membesr and $20 for non-members. Holiday Bazaar
St. Paul’s Church, 898 First Ave., is hosting its annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9-2. There will be food, crafts, games and vendors. Admission is free. Santa will be visiting from the North Pole from 11-1. For additional information, call (203) 932-4678.
Vets invited
Our Lady of Victory School, on Jones Hill Road, invites all veterans and current military servicemen and women to come to our school for a short program in your honor on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 8:30. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
Garden club
The West Haven Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Louis Church Hall, Bull Hill Lane. Lunch will be served. Fundraiser breakfast

‘Bowling for Vets’
The Benevolent and Protectorate Order of Elks, Lodge 1537, has planned its annual Bowling for Veterans fundraiser for the Woodlawn Lanes on Friday, Nov. 6, from 7:30 to 11:30 pm. Cost is $25 a ticket, which covers bowling and food. This is a BYOB event. Cans/bottles only, for maintenance purposes. There will be a general raffle as well as a 50/50 raffle. Raffle prizes will include gift certificates from local restaurants and other businesses, novelty items and sports tickets.

Annual fair
St Lawrence School, 231 Main St., is announcing its annual “Christmas in the Schoolhouse Extravaganza” on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday. Dec. 6. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy entertainment on the stage, while shopping with the numerous craft vendors that will be set up throughout the gym. Breakfast and lunch will be served. There will be raffles to win gift baskets filled with Christmas goodies, as well as face-painting, kids’ crafts, and the jewelry table.

Ballroom dancing
Ballroom Dancing takes place each Sunday evenings at the Cielo/ West Haven Italian-American Civic Association, 85 Chase Lane. Dancing lessons are held from 6:30-7.,followed by a variety of ballroom-type disc jockey music until 10. Snacks, coffee and Danish are provided and a cash bar is available. Singles and couples are welcome. The cost is $12 per person.

Student loans
The Seth Haley Memorial Loan Fund of West Haven provides eligible college students with loans of up to $2500 to help students finish their post high school education. Applicants must be West Haven residents who have completed two or more years of college or post secondary work or be in their final two years of advanced work. Any West Haven resident attending college or a post high school professional, technical or trade school can be eligible for a loan. Repayments do not begin, and no interest will be charged until one year after graduation.
