An international artist is visiting Ankeny this week.
Known for her work with watercolors, Birgit O’Connor will be starting her second three-day class on Monday.
Along with guest-teaching for the Iowa Watercolor Society in Ankeny for the group’s annual meeting. O’Connor has also been the judge for local artwork at the society’s annual show.
O’Connor is recognized for her use of bright colors and flowers in her watercolor paintings.
