WHOLE IDEALIST – WHOLE REALIST – WHOLE VALUE:

I am indeed pleased to share a letter titled “VALUES MATTER” from Whole Foods Market. The letter is an appeal to “All Naturalists & Ringleaders” and at the same time it addresses me as “Fellow Idealist.” The letter describes Whole Foods as “a part of greater consciousness bigger than food.”

I am not a “Ringleader”, or Cheerleader for I am the chosen “ScapeGoat” of Whole Team Members. I may not be a ‘Whole Naturalist’ for I am still used to the comfort of wearing clothes and conceal my natural body. The term ‘Naturalist’ is defined as a person who believes in or practices naturalism in any form. The term “Naturalism” describes action or thought based on natural desires or instincts, faithful adherence to nature, and realism. A “Naturalist” is expected to apply scientific objectivity and precision in observing and depicting life, without idealizing, imposing value judgments and it demands the quality of action and thought from the use of “Realism.” I am claiming that a “Naturalist” cannot be an “Idealist” for the “Idealist” is not a “Realist.” The term “Ideal” describes a thought or idea that could be perfect, or the conception of something in its most excellent or perfect form. An “Idealist” is a person whose behavior and thoughts are based on ideals, the conception of things as they should be or as the idealistic person wish them to be in his vision or imagination. Whereas a “Realist” is a person concerned with real things and practical matters rather than those that are imaginary or visionary. The doctrine of “Realism” claims that material objects exist in themselves, apart from the mind’s perception or consciousness of those material objects. In “Idealism” the reality exists only in the mind. The difference between an “Idealist” and a “Realist” surface immediately when they assess the “Value” of material objects found in the world. The term “Value” means a fair or proper equivalent in money for something sold or exchanged, a fair market price. But the idea of “Value” is also fundamentally concerned with the worth or the degree of worth, or the quality of having intrinsic worth which may determine the price of the object for sale or exchange. In its letter, Whole Foods claimed that “Values are inseparable from Values.” To that extent, the price for purchase or exchange of a material commodity must be inseparable from its degree of worth or intrinsic worth.

I went to Whole Foods to verify if the price I pay to purchase a retail product represents its “Ideal Value,” “Real Value,” or “Whole Value.” I met a young man named Charley in the Grocery Department. Charley received me with a great sense of enthusiasm for he recognized me as a “Fellow Idealist.” Charley with a nice smile on his face inquired, “Can help you with something?” I told Charley about the letter that I received from Whole Foods and revealed to him that I am indeed a “Whole Idealist” who attaches Ideas and Values to all the material objects found in the world. To explain my credentials as a “Whole Idealist”, I shared with Charley the Ideas and Values that I attach to 365 Everyday Value Mismatched Sandwich Cremes. I told him that it is not a simple, or ordinary cookie that people may purchase at any other grocery store. I told Charley about all the stories that I had already posted to narrate the intrinsic beauty and worth of these Mismatched Cremes. Charley, very politely agreed that those are really wonderful cookies. Then I asked him about its “Value.” The Mismatched Cremes are priced at $3.19, and the price for the other two kinds of 365 Sandwich Cremes is just the same. For I am a “Whole Idealist”, in my vision, and imagination, the Mismatched Cremes are far superior in their intrinsic value or worth as compared to any other cookies. I can simply hold the Cookie in my hand and explain the concept of Whole Love, Whole Communion, Whole Holiday, Whole Mechanics, Whole Dynamics, Whole Devotion, and Whole Happiness. Charley carefully explained the concept of “Everyday Value” as that of selling “High Value” products at a lower price than their real market price. The Value is High, but the Price is Low. I asked Charley if the Everyday Value Price can be called “Ideal” or “Real” Price of the Mismatched Sandwich Cremes for I really see more Value when I compare it with the 365 Everyday Value Sandwich Cremes, and 365 Everyday Value Chocolate Cremes. Charley very patiently explained that the Value of the Mismatched Sandwich Cremes just exists in my mind and exists as an Idea. For it is only my idea, it may not be Real for Reality demands the use of practical considerations and not of vision or imagination. Charley appreciated the fact that I Love the Cookies and suggested that I can pay the Cashier more money( the Whole Value Price in my mental estimate) than the retail price and assured me that Whole Foods would accept my additional payment as a donation. I was very satisfied with Charley’s explanation, his cheerfulness, and very courteous service. I spontaneously wanted to show my sense of appreciation, and asked Charley if I could present him a box of Mismatched Sandwich Cremes to demonstrate my philosophy of Whole Idealism and Whole Value in my actions and behavior. Charley gently refused to accept my offer and in reply told me that he cannot eat Mismatched Sandwich Cremes for they have an Ingredient that is not acceptable to him. Then it is a Whole different Story if I have to write about “Whole Ingredients” and ingredients that people accept or reject when they buy material commodities at Ideal Price, Real Price, Everyday Value Price or Whole Price.
