Day 1 – Pick up & make our way to Ireland
We travel To Holyhead Ferry Terminal & Board our sailing to Dublin, We arrive & head for beautiful Kerry normally arriving 8pm. After a Warm Irish welcome & enjoy a 3 course meal all served with tea or coffee.
Day 2 Ring of Kerry, Horse Drawn cart & Muchross Gardens
The Ring of is the Kerry tourist trail – the mystical & unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question. We will start our day with a Jaunting Car Tour to show you the hidden delights of Killarney National Park & the famous Lakes. As you ramble along on your tour you are informed of the history, legends and folklore of the area. After our tour we will have free time to enjoy the Beautiful Muckross Gardens which are known worldwide, especially the rock garden and large water garden. We board the coach for the drive around the ring of Kerry stopping for stunning scenic photos & for lunch before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Blarney Stone & Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral
It’s off to cork to lock lips with the blarney stone. For over 200 years, world statesmen, literary giants, and legends of the silver screen have joined the millions of pilgrims climbing the steps to kiss the Blarney Stone and gain the gift of eloquence. Explore the stunning surrounding gardens or enjoy tea & scones in the lovely café, there’s certainly something for everyone on site. In the afternoon we visit St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral consecrated in 1870, the most recent ecclesiastical site located where the saint is believed to have founded his monastic school in the 7th century. Noteworthy features of its magnificent interior include stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments, marble mosaics from the Pyrenees while the sanctuary ceiling portrays Christ, surrounded by angels. The building contains more than 1,260 sculptures. It’s a day full of beauty & history but one you will remember forever.
Day 4
Free day in Killarney to relax & enjoy the local sites
Day 5
After a good Irish breakfast we leave for Dublin to catch the ferry back to Holyhead and then continue our homeward journey
