WELKOM– October 27 2015: Well-known white farmer in the district of Welkom was killed while another man was nearly beaten to death and a woman and children severely traumatized in a farm attack between Welkom and Kroonstad. The farmer’s son is furious because his father died on his way to hospital. “They robbed him, why didn’t they just knocked him out? Why shot him?” Asked the farmer’s son Hendrik Jansen van Rensburg after his father Willie Jansen van Rensburg, 69, was fatally wounded on October 27, 2014 and died on his way to hospital. Hendrik is furious about the things going on in South Africa and with no end in sight. Hendrik, his wife and 4 children lived with Willie temporary on his farm Nuwejaarsbosch, after Willie lost his wife 6 months ago. Willie went at about 20:15 to unleash the dogs and check on the dairy, when the black thugs overpowered him. ”We heard grandpa scream and the next moment three black thugs entered the house,” the 12yr old granddaughter said. When Willie’s 18yr old granddaughter tried to help her grandfather they pushed her away and dragged her to the house, holding onto her hair. “They asked for R300 000, and said they’ll kill all of us if they don’t get the keys to the safe, while aiming grandpa’s revolver at my mom,” the 12 year old said. The mother and kids didn’t know where the keys were. Willie was dragged from the dairy to an outside room. Willies daughter in law, the children and Wolf Myburgh, 73, a mechanic living nearby in a caravan were locked in an outside room. Myburgh was hit so hard with a steel pipe in his face that he lost consciousness. The room’s door was tied shut with ropes. The woman and one of the daughters succeeded in escaping by removing a window frame. The farm workers helped loading the heavily wounded Willie in a vehicle and an ambulance met them halfway on the road. But Willie passed away on the way to the hospital. Hendrik requested that his wife and kids names are withheld.

RUSTENBURG– October 30 2015: A 57-year-old white man is in a critical condition after he and his 68-year-old wife were attacked by seven armedblack thugs Friday October 30, 2015, on a farm in the Elandskraal area near Mooinooi, outside Rustenburg. Capt. Paul Ramaloko, police spokesperson, told Maroela Media the couple was attacked when they stopped at their home about 18:30 after arriving from a store. The woman sustained severe bruises as she was dragged and tied by the thugs. The man was shot in the stomach and leg and was in a critical condition in hospital. The thugs fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry, the woman’s handbag and two vehicles. One of the vehicles was later found abandoned in Marikana. Ramaloko could not confirm the couple’s names, but they were identified on social media as Daan Venter and his wife. A case of armed robbery is being investigated. Maroela Media learned that two attacks took place on Friday in the same area. A couple was allegedly attacked Friday on a farm in the Beestekraal area outside Rustenburg and the man was shot by the black thugs . A third couple was also seriously injured when they were allegedly attacked at about 22:00 in their home at Dinie Estates in Rustenburg and assaulted with a machete. The man was fired in his foot. Ramaloko could not confirm the two attacks by Monday afternoon and pledged to provide more information to Maroela Media once it is available.

SOMERSET WEST– November 01 2015: A white male (37) was shot to death in a parking lot of a mall in Somerset West WC. Lt.Col Andre Traut– spokes person for the police in the Western Cape said the incident happened around 08h50 Saturday morning. Traut said that the police speculate that the white victim was shot by two black thugs who wanted to hi-jack his vehicle. The two suspects fled and still was not apprehended. Traut said that the precise circumstances surrounding the incident still are investigated.

PRETORIA– 03 November 2015: Gewapende swart kriminele het Dinsdag ‘n huis in Beyersstraat in Waverley beroof en met ‘n stewige bedrag in kontant weggekom. Villieria-polisiewoordvoerder Kaptein Koba Brits sê volgens die tuinier is hy die oggend deur drie mans genader. “Hy beweer dat een van die swart aanvallers in ‘n polisie-uniform geklee was,” Brits sê die mans het blykbaar voorgegee dat hulle aanwysings soek totdat een van hulle ’n vuurwapen uitgepluk het. DANVILLE ( Pretoria)– 04 November 2015: ’n 16-jarige meisie van Danville is Woensdag oppad huistoe van die skool af in die Daspoort tonnel aangeval. Madelein Mia Prinsloo is in haar nek en en op haar arms met ’n bottel gesteek deur ’n swart krimineel wat haar wou beroof. “Ons skryf eksamen so daar was geen bus nie, en ek het besluit om huistoe te loop. Ek was skaars in die tonnel toe ek sien daar is ’n swart man wat my agtervolg. Die man het nader geloop en met my begin gesels,” vertel Prinsloo.“Hy het my gevra om saam met my te loop, maar toe sê ek vir hom my outjie wag vir my die anderkant van die tonnel.” Prinsloo sê toe die krimineel sien daar is ’n ander man wat na hulle kant toe loop, het hy haar gelos en begin wegloop. “Die ander man het verby geloop en die krimineel het weer agter my begin loop. Hy het toe vir my gesê ek moet vir hom my nommers gee. Ek het gesê ek sal, maar toe vra hy dat ek vir hom my selfoon wys,” sê Prinsloo. Sy sê sy het vir die krimineel gesê dat sy nie haar selfoon by haar het nie, maar die krimineel het haar nie geglo nie. Prinsloo sê die krimineel het daarna begin aggressief raak. Sy sê sy het gesien die krimineel het iets by hom toe hy sy hande in sy sak sit. “Hy het my teen die muur van die tonnel vasgedruk en probeer om my selfoon uit my sak te ruk. Hy het ’n gebreekte bottel uitgeruk en probeer om my in my sy te steek,” sê Prinsloo. Sy sê ’n paar vroue het in die tonnel geloop en toe hulle nader was het een van hulle agter die krimineel ingehardloop. “’n Ander man het in die middel van die tonnel gestop met sy kar. Ek dink hy is die een wat die polisie gebel het.” Prinsloo sê die krimineel het probeer om haar in haar nek te steek en het haar agter haar oor gesteek. “Ek het nie besef dat die man my gesteek het nie. Ek het gesien toe ek weghardloop dat hy my gesteek het toe ek my bloed sien drup.” Die krimineel het Prinsloo op haar hande ook gesteek en sy moes hospitaal toe gaan vir behandeling. Prinsloo se vriend, Evan Fourie, het aan Rekord gesê na die aanval gebeur het, het hy haar gebel. “Iets het vir my gesê ek moet haar bel. Ek was in Nelspruit. Toe ek haar bel het sy gesê iemand het haar gesteek en daar is bloed. Ek het van daar af begin ryloop om hierheen te kom,” sê hy. Prinsloo se familie is baie gelukkig dat sy veilig by die huis is en dat niks ernstig gebeur het nie. “Ek is bly sy is veilig. PRETORIA– November 05 2015: Three black thugs who tried to rob a white woman and her daughter in Pretoria West today, were instead left with the scars that will remind them of this fateful day.
Alta de Wet said she was on her way home after celebrating her 43rd birthday on 5 November when she suddenly hear screams from a black thug demanding her cellphone and purse. “We had stopped at the robot at that intersection [corner of Vom Hagen Street and E’skia Mphahlele Road] when someone tried to open the door of the car from the passenger side,” she said. Then there were two more, boxing the car in and demanding her purse and cellphone. “I told them I did not have a cellphone as I threw it under my seat,” said De Wet. “From that moment on, I knew there was going to be trouble.” I tried to reach for my pepper spray under the seat and when I could not find it, I felt the Gorilla-bar [steering lock] nearby. I grabbed it and started hitting the thugs.” She said she caught one in the face. Then there was a bit of luck when one of the men reached for the key and pulled it out of the ignition but it fell inside the car. “This was the second time something like this had happened [to me]. I thought to myself enough is enough, and took action,” De Wet said. She also said hearing her 11-year-old daughter screaming in fear had strengthened her resolve. “I do not know what I was thinking at the time. The thugs trying to hijack us just awoke something inside of me,” explained De Wet. She said though she was happy to have survived and protected her daughter, going through that intersection was traumatic for her. “It is unfortunate that I have to drive through that intersection every day,” she said.

LEEUDORINGSTAD– November 05 2015: Two black thugs were shot and killed by local farmers after they drove around with the murdered corpse of a white farmer in the boot of his stolen car. The thugs hit the farm of ex-police captain Johan Van Rensburg just outside of Leeudoringstad- and subsequintly murdered him.

MOUNT MORELAND-KZN- November 06 2015: The body of an unidentified white male has been recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa at approx 05:45 this morning after Reaction Officers responded to a call out of a suspicious motor vehicle. A passerby contacted the RUSA Operations Center in Verulam & reported a suspicious grey Audi parked near a banana plantation in Mount Moreland. Reaction Officers responded to the call out on a dirt road & found a grey Audi motor vehicle with a GP Registration. Reaction Officers found a body of a white male seated in the drivers seat. A plastic bag was found over his head & his face was duct taped several times. A roll of duct tape was found hanging from his head. RUSA Paramedics confirmed that the white male was deceased. WELKOM– November 07 2015: On November 7, 2014 less than two weeks after the murder of Willie Jansen van Rensburg, the elderly Smith couple from St Helena, Welkom were savagely attacked with machetes and knifes. Jack Smith, 78, was attacked by two black thugs wearing balaclavas while working in the garden. He was forced into the house where his wife Babsie was watching television. They pushed Jack, who was already bloodied and badly injured on top of Babsie. They demanded money. Jack’s face was crushed in the attack and he died at the scene. The criminals forced Babsie Smith into a closet and got away with R2000 in cash. Apparently a third thug waited in a vehicle in front of the house. Babsie managed to phone her son Riaan Venter and he rushed to his parents’ home. On arrival his father was already dead. His face was badly disfigured and he had several cuts and stab wounds. His mother was stabbed several times with a sharp object. Charges of murder, burglary and attempted murder are being investigated by the police.

LA LUCIA– November 08 2015: A white LA Lucia resident was held up by three black thugs in the early hours of Sunday morning in her Belmont Gardens Road home in La Lucia. The incident occurred at about 3am. It’s believed the suspects gained access through a sliding door, which they had managed to slide off its hinges. According to Lt Raymond Deokaran, the thugs threatened the 73-year-old before making off with just her handbag and items worth R2 000. “The woman heard a noise and got out of bed to investigate. She was confronted by the men, who were carrying torches. They kept the light in her eyes and demanded her valuables. They threatened to kill her and pushed her against the wall. One of the men shoved her so hard, she lost her balance and struck her head against the headboard of her bed. Luckily she was not badly injured. “According to the resident, the men were wearing dark clothes and cloths over their faces. No weapons were produced during the robbery and the men eventually made off with just her handbag, which contained her ID, cash and jewellery,” he said. Deokaran added that the resident followed the thugs as they made their escape down the stairs. “They fled on foot and that’s when she noticed the sliding door had been damaged. The men had managed to lift it off it’s hinges.”

ROODEPOORT- November 09 2015: Police are looking for Pricilla who was involved in an armed robbery. An elderly white couple in Florida was burned with a hot iron while they were being robbed. Police are searching for a black domestic worker who aided two black thugs in gaining entry into the home of a family she was working for. The elderly couple were robbed in their Goldman Street home yesterday morning and allegedly gained entrance through an opened security gate. According to a trusted source, the thugs were wearing blue overalls and robbed the elderly couple of their jewelry, firearm and cell phones. The domestic worker, only known as Pricilla, allegedly burned the elderly white man with a hot iron to prevent them from retaliating. Spokesperson for Florida SAPS, Captain Lydia Dikolomela, said she does not know all the details about the incident, however she can confirm no arrests have been made yet. No further information has been given.

PRETORIA– November 10 2015: A white reaction officer from Bull Security was shot and killed in line of duty in Tuesday morning, in Waterkloof. JP van Niekerk and his fellow officer Neil Botha were attending to a house-burglary when a gun-fight ensued and he was shot by one of the five black thugs. One thug was also shot and killed and another critically injured. “We received a phone call around 01:50 from one of our clients that there were robbers in the house. I called JP for back up,” Botha said. On arrival, Botha went to the back door and Van Niekerk to the front door. “A shootout ensued and JP was shot. One of the thugs was shot dead too,” explained Botha. Paramedics were called. “I tried to resuscitate him before the paramedic’s arrived,” said Botha. According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu, five thugs gained entry into the house through the back door. Gumbu said three of them were still at large.

PRETORIA– November 10 2015: A white man is fighting for his life after he was assaulted by black thugs in Ouklipmuur Avenue, Willow park manor, Pretoria. Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the man had sustained life-threatening injuries. Medics worked tirelessly to stabilize the critically wounded man and after placing him on a ventilator, they transported him to a specialized facility for the care that he required.

So wonder die oudambassadeur Johan Lötter (86) ’n week nadat vier swart kriminele met messe hom in sy huis in Menlopark, Pretoria, oorval het. Nie net is hy byna ongedeerd nie, maar die polisie het ook binne ’n uur sy gesteelde motor en goedere opgespoor en die kriminele gearresteer. Lötter sê hy was agter in die huis doenig toe iets sy aandag trek. Hy was skaars by die sitkamer toe die vier hom oorval en bo-op hom gaan sit. Dit is hoofsaaklik sy regterarm en -hand wat seergekry het. “Ek het heeltyd vir hulle gesê: ‘Ek is 86 jaar oud. ’n Madala. Hoekom doen julle dit? Ek het nie nog geld nie.’ Maar hulle wou niks weet nie.” Twee van die swart kriminele het in ’n stadium opgespring en na die motorhuis gehardloop terwyl die ander twee op Lötter bly sit het. Hy het hulle uiteindelik op die een of ander manier verwilder en kon sy pistool in die slaapkamer in die hande kry. Toe hy buite kom, was die vier besig om met sy Citroën onder die afdak uit te ry. “Ek het een keer op hulle geskiet. Ongelukkig het ek gemis en een het uitgespring en die pistool by my afgevat en weggery. “In my geval kan ek nie kla oor die polisie se diens nie, want hulle was uitstekend.” Lötter was in die vroeë 1990’s die Suid-Afrikaanse ambassadeur in onder meer Finland en Israel. Hy het ook sy land in Parys, Frankryk, en Australië verteenwoordig.

PRETORIA– 17 November 2015: A White Pretoria man is in a critical condition in hospital after a dramatic gun battle with a gang of alleged black thugs in Lyttelton on Monday night. In the frenzied exchange of fire, the homeowner shot and killed one thug who had allegedly been holding his wife captive. Security services tracked down and arrested two other alleged gang members after they had fled the home. A fourth member is still at large. Police spokesperson warrant officer David Miller said the homeowner had confronted the group of alleged black house robbers who had already forced their way inside his house. “The four had forced entry to the property and had held a woman at gunpoint. They were in the process of stripping her of her valuables when they were confronted by the homeowner, her husband.” “A shootout ensued and in the process one suspect was killed and the man was badly wounded. His wife was also wounded in the shooting having sustained a gunshot wound to the arm,” Miller added. He said a gun thought to have been used in the robbery was recovered and detectives may link the thugs to a spate of house robberies in the area.

MEERENSEE- KZN November 17 2015: THE principal of pre-school, Play and Schoolroom in Meerensee is still recovering from shock after she was accosted by three armed black hi-jackers in Perlemoen Drive at about 5pm. She was busy buckling a child into her car when they attacked her, demanding her silver Honda Jazz. Her immediate reaction was to save the toddler when one of the suspects shot at her. Fortunately the bullet hit the ground, but ricocheted and bruised her side. She managed to remove the child from the car seat minutes before the thugs drove off in her car. One of the parents, who after hearing the news sped to the school to assist, patrolled and found the vehicle deserted with the keys still in the ignition in Knorhaanbaai. The Richards Bay SAPS are currently searching for the suspects in the bush on Shad Shoal as well as the black Toyota Yaris they were reportedly driving in before the attack. Both the principal and child have been confirmed to be ‘ok’.

BOKSBURG- November 19 2015: According to the Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, police were called to the scene at about 6pm on Thursday, November 19. This was after members of the CPF noticed that something was amiss. “CPF members became suspicious after they noticed that the doors, including the garage door, as well as the gate were half opened,” said Ngobese. “Police entered the property and made a gruesome discovery when they found the white woman’s bloodied body lying in her garage, buried under heavy objects, including steel structure and a wooden bridge. “It then became apparent that the elderly woman, who was staying alone, was brutally attacked, as she suffered two stab wounds to the left of her neck and one stab wound to her waist.” Ngobese said the traces of blood found on the dining room floor indicate the deceased had been dragged to the garage after she was stabbed. Police believe the attackers forced their way into the home to steal valuable items. Goods stolen include a TV set and a DVD player. Ngobese said the woman’s son also became suspicious when his mother did not respond to his phone call. He then asked one of the deceased’s neighbors to look for her, but she did not respond to the neighbors knock on the door. A case of murder has been opened and no one has been arrested so far. Ngobese strongly condemned the barbaric attack, and is requesting the assistance of the public in solving the murder. GERMISTON– November 20 2015: Following the late night assault of two white women at the Lambton McDonalds, the head office has responded to the GCN’s queries. The GCN was following up claims that the restaurant’s black security guards and staff did not assist the women, but rather cheered on the black assailant. Sechaba Motsieloa, corporate affairs director for McDonald’s South Africa, released the following statement: “McDonald’s South Africa is aware of an alleged case of assault between customers that took place at our McDonald’s Lambton premises in Germiston. “The safety and security of our customers and staff are of the utmost importance and we are co-operating fully with the local authorities during their investigation of the matter.” The spokesman for the Germiston SAPS, WO André de Jager, explained that “A common assault case was opened, but we cannot arrest the suspect on this charge. “All we can do is take his warning statement and the docket to the senior public prosecutor at the Germiston Magistrates Court for a decision as to whether or not the case will be heard in court.”

OUDSHOORN– 20 November 2015: “ Ek het ‘n rewolwer teen my kop en ‘n mes teen my keel gehad, maar is so dankbaar ek lewe en ek is nie beseer nie,” het Toy van Schalkwyk, vrou van Andries van Schalkwyk, besturende direkteur van Buffelsdrift Game Lodge gister gesê. Sy is om ongeveer halfeen Dinsdagoggend in hulle vakansiehuis in Boggomsbaai deur twee gewapende swart kriminele oorval en beroof. Sy was alleen in die huis. Toy sê sy het ongeveer 20 minute nadat sy die ligte afgeskakel het skielik ‘n geluid in haar kamer gehoor. “Twee kriminele was in my kamer. Een het my aan die keel gegryp en op die bed vasgedruk en die ander een het die lig aangesit. Dit was twee Xhosa-kriminele, een met ‘n mes en een met ‘n rewolwer en hulle het geld geëis. Ek het met my hand gewys ek kan nie praat nie, want die een het my keel toegedruk.” Sy vertel dat sy nie weet hoe sy kalm gebly het nie. Die twee rowers het eers haar handsak leeggemaak en aangedring dat sy hulle wys waar die kluis en wapens is. Nadat hulle oortuig was dat daar nie ‘n kluis is nie het hulle haar steeds met die mes teen haar keel en die vuurwapen teen haar kop, gedwing om die PIN’s van die bankkaarte wat in haar handsak was te gee. Nadat hulle die nommers neergeskryf het, het hulle haar gedwing om haar ringe af te haal waarna hulle haar hande en voete met twee stukke tou, wat deur haar bagasiesak geryg was, vasgebind en in die badkamer gelaat het. Hulle het ook die sleutels van haar Hyundai ix35 en haar selfone gevat. “Ek kon hoor hoe hulle op die onderste verdieping rondbeweeg en het gehoor toe hulle wegry. Ek het ‘n rukkie gewag en deur die badkamervenster om hulp geroep, maar daar is ‘n leë erf tussen ons en die bure.”Toy het skuifel-skuifel tot in die kombuis gevorder en eers probeer om die toue agter haar rug met ‘n mes los te sny, maar die toue was te styf en sy was bang sy sny haar polse raak. “Toe maak ek soos McGyver, ek het ‘n braaihak wat in die onderste laai was met my tone uitgekrap en toe met die handvatsel in my mond die toue om my voete met die varkstertjie aan die punt van die braaihak losgewoel. Dit het my omtrent ‘n uur gevat om los te kom.” Met haar hande steeds vasgebind het sy na die bure gehardloop om hulp te soek. “Die polisie van KwaNonqaba by Mosselbaai was ongelooflik. Hulle was binne minute op die toneel. Lede van Suiderkruis Sekuriteit was ook dadelik daar.” Haar man, Andries, wat in hul huis by Buffelsdrift Game Lodge was terwyl die roof plaasgevind het, sê hy was nog besig om met haar op die telefoon te praat toe hy ‘n SMS kry wat aandui daar is R3 000 uit sy rekening onttrek. Die kriminele het binne ‘n paar minute altesaam R9 000 uit drie rekeninge getrek. Volgens Andries wou hy dadelik Boggomsbaai toe ry, maar Toy het hom verseker dat sy niks makeer nie en dat die plek wemel van polisie. Hy sê die polisie het ‘n beskrywing van Toy se motor na al die omliggende polisiestasies uitgestuur en ‘n patrollievoertuig in Lawaaikamp in George het toevallig by ‘n verlate Hyundai ix35 stilgehou om ondersoek in te stel toe die boodskap oor Toy se motor per radio deurkom.
“Hulle (die kriminele) het die kar, met die sleutels in en sonder ‘n skrapie in die straat gelos en waarskynlik met ‘n ander voertuig weggery.” Die motor is reeds aan Toy terugbesorg. Die polisie vermoed dat die kriminele met ‘n ander voertuig tot by die Van Schalkwyks se huis gery het en met daardie voertuig en die Hyundai gevlug het. Toy sê toe die polisie haar vra of sy die vorige dag enige verdagtes in die omgewing gesien het, het sy skielik onthou van ‘n bakkie wat haar die vorige middag op pad Boggomsbaai toe opgeval het. “Die bakkie, met drie mans, het stadig voor my gery net buite Mosselbaai en ek het hulle later verbygegaan. Ek was skaars by hulle verby toe jaag hulle by my verby, maar ‘n entjie verder het hulle weer stadig voor my gery. Ek het hulle toe weer verbygegaan en nie weer aan hulle gedink nie.” Sy vermoed nou dat die bakkie haar op ‘n afstand gevolg het om te sien waarheen sy gaan. “As ek iemand kan raad gee is dit om baie meer bewus te wees van wat om jou aangaan en as iets nie reg lyk nie, moet dit nie ignoreer nie.” Die kriminele het ‘n klein gaatjie in ‘n ruit op die onderste verdieping gemaak waardeur hulle die knip met ‘n draad losgehaak het. Buiten die bankkaarte, en motor het hulle ook juwele ter waarde van R20 000, ‘n Telefunken-televisiestel en twee selfone, ‘n Samsung en ‘n Blackberry, gesteel. Die egpaar het gister by Buffelsdrift gesê hulle is dankbaar vir die genade dat Toy niks oorgekom het nie en het weer beklemtoon dat die optrede van die polisie uitstekend was.

BREYTEN- November 20 2015: The body of 59-year-old Charles Jordaan of Breyten, Mpumalanga, was found next to the roadside on the N11 between Ermelo and Hendrina in the early hours of Thursday morning. Police believe Mr Jordaan may have been murdered elsewhere and his body dumped at the roadside. Police have not released further details as investigations into a case of murder are continuing.

JOHANNESBURG- November 20 2015: Yet another Joburg white family has fought back against black thugs who gained entry to their property, shooting one of them in the head. A shoot-out ensued at a Hyde Park home on Thursday afternoon after a white man in his forties noticed four black thugs wearing black balaclavas entering his yard. Police spokesman Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said the man first saw the intruders trying to open his gate at about 2pm. When they eventually gained entry, he screamed, prompting a second man to emerge from the house. “The robbers began shooting at the two men, and the second man shot back,” said Maphakela. “One of the man’s bullets struck one of the robbers in the head. The suspects realized they were in trouble and fled in an Audi A4.” From Hyde Park, the thugs drove their accomplice to Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital, dumping him outside before fleeing. “They just left him there,” said Maphakela. The wounded thug, a 30-year-old man, died at the hospital. Upon hearing that one of the thugs had been hurt in the crossfire, police had sent officers to every hospital in town to track him down. Police later recovered the getaway car, which had been reported stolen earlier this month. Maphakela said the passenger side of the car was riddled with bullet holes and blood covered the backseat. Police also found a 9mm gun which appears to have been dropped by one of the suspects as they fled. Its serial number had been filed off. The three suspects are still at large, but police have opened cases of attempted robbery and attempted murder and are investigating. This is not the first time Joburg residents have fought back against would-be robbers. One afternoon in August, several thugs tried to rob a home in Kibler Park belonging to a married white couple who happened to be police officers. The couple realized what was happening in time to position themselves, armed, at the front door and a window. When one of the thugs came in, he looked straight into the barrel of a gun. As he ran away, the wife shot him in the legs and genitals. His accomplices, who fled, were later apprehended in a botched getaway. This was just a month after three thugs broke into a home in Glenvista belonging to a white couple in their fifties in the middle of the night. The intruders were not prepared for the wife who slept with a gun under her pillow. She shot both of the thugs who entered her bedroom. One died at the scene while the other managed to make it to the patio before he, too, died.

ODENDAALSRUS– November 20 2015: One Free State farmer was shot dead and another wounded in separate attacks in the past 24 hours, Free State Agriculture said on Friday. The first farmer was killed in a robbery at his house in Palmietkuil near Odendaalsrus on Thursday night, spokesperson Alani Janeke said. “According to initial information communicated to the Free State Agriculture Safety Desk, the power went out in the house and Jan Barnard went outside to switch on the generator. He was attacked by four black thugs and shot,” Janeke said. Barnard’s wife heard the shot and went outside to check what was happening. She was forced into the house by the thugs who demanded cash from her. The thugs then shot her in the hip. It was unclear if they fled with any of the couple’s possessions. The couple was found on Friday morning when workers arrived on the farm. Barnard’s wife is in a critical condition in hospital.

FOURIESBURG– November 20 2015: On Friday morning, another farmer was shot in the head when he walked into a shop that was being robbed in Fouriesburg. “Pieter Swanepoel stopped at a shop… while two black thugs were allegedly robbing it at gunpoint. The lady working in the shop was held by the two men, but they shifted their target towards Swanepoel when he stopped at the shop,” said Free State Agriculture safety co-ordinator Josef van Eeden. The thugs allegedly emptied Swanepoel’s shirt and trouser pockets and then shot him behind the ear. They fled in his pick-up. The local safety network was informed and members traced and followed the pick-up. “The thugs overturned the vehicle and fled into the mountains. Farmers, farm workers and police worked together to search through the mountainous terrain and found the thugs,” said Van Eeden. Two black thugs have been arrested. They will appear in court soon. Swanepoel was admitted to hospital. His condition was not immediately clear.

Twee van die drie was gewapen. “Hulle het hom rondgeruk en gestamp, maar darem nie erg beseer nie,” vertel Riana. Die kriminele het hom in sy motor se kattebak geboender en met hom weggery. Niemand op die toneel het blykbaar probeer help nie. Die kriminele het ure aaneen gery. Kruger is in die motor gehou toe hulle die aand stilgehou en langs die motor gestaan en kuier het Kruger is darem water gegee tydens sy aanhouding. Diekriminele het hom Vrydagmiddag uit die motor gehaal en met vuil en geskeurde klere in Nelson Mandela rylaan agtergelaat. Na ’n gesukkel om hulp te kry met sy verslonsde voorkoms, kon Kruger uiteindelik met ’n paar rand van ’n barmhartige Samaritaan ’n oproep doen na sy familie. “Ons het hom eers hier by 15:00 gekry. Hy moes dié aakligheid vir langer as 24 uur verduur,” sê Riana. “Behalwe vir ‘n paar skrape en kneusplekke is hy oraait.” Die polisie is op soek na Kruger se goudkleurige Nissan Almera met die registrasienommer PCM 337 GP.

DURBAN: November 20 2015: Three armed black thugs were shot and killed by a Glen Anil resident, an ex-police officer who claimed it was self-defense after shots were fired in his direction during a house robbery last Thursday night. Police state that the man witnessed the three suspects breaking into his neighbour’s home by using a four-pound hammer to open the front gate. He was shouting at the thugs over his fence, after he saw them place a gun to his neighbors’ head, demanding keys to his safe. Greenwood Park SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Leon Audh said the thugs then began shooting at the vocal neighbor who retaliated in kind. “As the suspects attempted to flee, they fired shots at the neighbor who returned fire and shot all three suspects in the chest,” said W/O Audh. Paramedics responded to the crime scene at 11 Welwitchia Avenue and found the three men with life-threatening wounds after the shooting. “Two men died at the scene due to the extensive injuries that they sustained. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the third thug and placed him on a ventilator,” said Netcare 911’s Chris Botha. The third thug, who was taken to hospital under police guard, died a few hours after his arrival. The three deceased are aged between 33 and 39. Police managed to recover a stolen police blue light, a knife, three unlicensed firearms and 22 live rounds of ammunition as well as a VW GTI Golf 7 that was hijacked in the Chatsworth area last month. “The firearms will be sent for ballistics to determine if they were used in any other crime in the country. Charges of house robbery, attempted murder, three counts of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunitions, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of dangerous weapon and inquest have been opened for investigation by Greenwood Park SAPS,” said provincial SAPS spokesperson, Major Thulani Zwane. KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni asked the members of the community to be vigilant and ensure that their houses are safe.
“We applaud the commitment of the community member who assisted a fellow neighbor which shows the success of community policing,” she said.

Sunnyside police spokesperson Sergeant Asnat Malatsi said the man was riding his mountain bike around 06:15 on Sunday morning when he was approached by two black men. “They pulled him off his bike and demanded his cellphone.
