CAMPERDOWN– September 01 2015: A white Camperdown farmer has been shot and killed while his wife and two sons watched in horror in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The farmer, whose identity has been withheld until his family is notified, is understood to have scuffled with a gang of seven black thugs who stormed his home. Magma Security head Shaheen Suleiman said that the attack occurred shortly after midnight. “What we know at this stage is that seven guys came into the house and attacked the farmer and his family. They terrorised the man’s wife and sons and in the process opened fire on the farmer who was wounded,” he said. “The farmer managed to get hold of his own firearm and fired shots at the men but later succumbed to his injuries before he could be saved.” Suleiman said that the man’s wife and children were unhurt in the exchange of fire, but they are in shock. “They are still dealing with the loss. I will be working with my team on this case at the behest of the family,” he said. Police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker confirmed that a gang of seven black men is being sought by police after the men “accosted the family”. “They ransacked their house while holding them at gunpoint and then allegedly shot and killed a 50-year-old man and fled with two cellphones.” “A case of house robbery and murder was opened at Camperdown police station. No arrests have been made at this stage,” Naicker said.

DURBAN– September 01 2015: Durban – A white Westville man was seriously injured when he was stabbed by a knife-wielding black thug on Friday night. The elderly man is understood to have tried to push the armed thug out of his Rockdale Road home, resulting in a scuffle. Blue Security Operations Manager Brian Jackson said the robber had gained access to the property in the early evening. “The thug had managed to get over the electric fence and he then went to the front of the property where he opened a sliding door and entered the house,” he said. “He then threatened the resident’s grandson with a knife and demanded cash before the resident intervened and tried to push the assailant out of the house. The assailant stabbed the resident in the arm during the scuffle,” he said. “Paramedics attended the scene and took the victim to hospital for further medical attention.” Jackson urged residents to be vigilant and ensure that electric fences and outdoor beams are switched on at night for an early warning system against intruders. “We advise residents to always keep their security gates and doors locked at night because criminals tend to observe the patterns and habits of potential victims,” he said.

Daar was verskeie steekwonde aan haar gesig en nek, volgens majoor Pelonomi Makau, polisiewoordvoerder in Wes-Transvaal. Botes het ‘n bitter hart en meen sy ma moes nie so gesterf het nie. Hy vermoed Bollie het in haar laaste oomblikke na hom geroep. Sy was toe nog betreklik gesond, al het sy met ‘n loopraam geloop. Sondae het sy nog haar eie kos gemaak. Die familie het oorweeg om Bollie een of ander tyd ouetehuis toe te stuur. Haar man, Clive, was ten tye van die aanval in Secunda besig met aflewerings. Vier onbekendeswart kriminele het voorgegee dat hulle voertuigprobleme het kort voordat hulle haar oorval en na die huis geneem het. Hulle het Beverley in die huis in gedwing en aangedring op vuurwapens en geld. Sy het aan hulle gesê daar is nie. JOHANNESBURG– September 02 2015: Johannesburg – A white woman and her 4-month-old baby were injured during an apparent hijacking in Rosettenville on Wednesday morning, Johannesburg paramedics said. ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived on scene, they found the mother and child standing next to their vehicle, which had crashed into a wall. He said the woman told paramedics she was hit in the face while she was pulling her child out of the car during the hijacking. The black hijackers then sped away before crashing into the wall. “It is believed the hijackers ran away,” Meiring said. “On assessment, paramedics found that both the mother and child had sustained only minor injuries in this incident. “Paramedics treated both patients and transported them to South Rand Hospital for further treatment.” The incident was being investigated.

BOKSBURG– September 02 2015: A 43-year-old white man was killed after a robbery at his house on Tuesday, September 2. The man and his wife were locking the main gate at their Dawn Park home at around 9pm, when they were suddenly approached by two black thugs armed with firearms. “The couple were held them at gunpoint and ordered into the house,” said Sgt Rufus Tema of the Dawn Park Police Station. “The suspects took the couple’s cellphones and the keys to the family’s VW Polo. “They ordered the husband to get in the car and left the scene with him. The men then drove to an open field were they stabbed him multiple times,” he said. No one has been arrested as investigations continue. The man’s wife was left unharmed.

MELMOTH– September 03 2015: A brutal farm attack in Melmoth, KwaZulu-Natal, saw a white couple bound, beaten with Machetes and pistol-whipped at the hands of their black attackers. The thugs, who accosted Ricky Dinkelmann and his wife Rene when he returned to his workshop on Tuesday night, stole valuables and firearms. Speaking to News24, Dinkelmann recounted the ordeal. “I had arrived back at my workshop on the farm and I was met by thugs with guns who held me up. They proceeded to beat me and, when my wife heard the commotion and came to see what was happening, they accosted her as well,” he said. “We think they were after firearms and money and they were searching my vehicle for my gun. From time to time they would hit us with the firearm on the head. I took quite a few blows to the head with the handgun that night.” Bound with rope and electrical cable, the group stole items from the workshop. The couple was beaten and interrogated about the whereabouts of their valuables. “One guy had gone inside the farm house and found the safe. They dragged us into the room and that is when they got really aggressive when we didn’t give them the key,” – he said. A savage beating ensued, with the thugs striking the couple with their weapons and the blunt end of the long bush knife. “We eventually decided to relinquish the key and they ransacked the safe. As soon as they had the key their whole demeanour changed and they left us tied up and fled. “I managed to get free pretty quickly and got on to the farm watch radio and raised the alarm,” he said. “The one guy looked like he was going to kill us at any moment and we were just huddling next to each other trying to remain calm. “I reassured my wife and I think because we removed a lot of the panic from the situation, we came out battered and bruised but otherwise unharmed.” “I know how lucky we were,” Dinkelmann said.

DURBAN– September 04 2015: One of three black thugs who tried to overpower a white man along Sydney Road in Durban, was shot in the stomach and critically injured on Friday morning. A News24 source said when the victim was accosted by the three thugs, he pulled out his own firearm and fired at his attackers. The other two thugs fled. It is believed a second attacker was also shot in the scuffle, but he managed to flee on foot. EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie confirmed one man was treated for a gunshot wound in the abdomen. “He was transported to King Edward Hospital for further medical assistance.” Provincial police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane confirmed the incident, saying a case of attempted robbery had been opened at Umbilo police station. “The victim opened fire, wounding one suspect who was taken to hospital under police guard. He will face an attempted robbery charge once discharged from hospital.”

DURBAN- September 06 2015: A suspected black thug was shot and killed by a white Richmond farmer during what was understood to be a farm attack late on Sunday night. The man, allegedly armed with a gardening implement, was felled by a single gunshot wound to the face. KwaZulu-Natal police had registered a murder docket and were probing the killing – following a string of farm attacks in the province. Police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane confirmed the incident. “A 30-year-old man was killed when he sustained a single gunshot wound to the right eye,” he said. “We believe this man was part of a group who allegedly tried to gain access to a house at Sunnyhill Farm in Richmond. It is alleged the deceased had been armed with a slasher or another garden tool. He was not carrying a gun,” Zwane said. He said a case of murder had been registered and detectives would continue the investigation. News24’s efforts to contact the farm proved fruitless at the time of publishing. A call to a business being run from the farm was fielded by a woman who would only identify herself as Marlise and was insistent she was told not to reveal any details about “the incident”. Last week, a Melmoth couple were held against their will and badly beaten by a gang of black farm attackers.

MARGATE– September 06 2015: A white Margate resident was attacked by a group of black thugs in Marine Drive on Saturday evening. He was stabbed and they tried to slit his throat. Fanie Olwagen and his wife Esme had just crossed the road from a meeting with residents of a building opposite the Sea Breeze flats where they live. They had discussed rowdy behavior with the group, and Mr. Olwagen had just opened the safety gate of their flats when he was called back by the group. When he went back, he was attacked. He was helped by bystanders, and taken to hospital, where he is recuperating. Although seriously injured, his jugular vein was not severed, and his friends say he is extremely lucky to be alive. Eyewitnesses told eHowzit the police could have been more helpful, although a charge of attempted murder was eventually laid and a case number registered. eHowzit asked the Margate police for comment, which we should get today. Residents of Marine Drive have apparently been having trouble with the residents of the specific building being noisy in the street, and vices such as prostitution. It is believed several Nigerians and other black foreigners are living in the building.

DURBAN-September 06 2015: – Fed up with crime, an Umbilo woman wrestled with a black burglar who had climbed through the bedroom window of her second-floor flat before shoving him off a ledge while he was trying to escape.Prospect Road resident, Jennifer Harris, 55, said she had been watching a movie on her laptop at 1.15am on Sunday when she saw a man climb on to her window ledge. The burglar had used an aluminium garden stool to climb up on to an air conditioner unit to reach the window. A victim of four petty robberies, including a mugging in Durban, Harris was not about to take the break-in lying down. “I heard him breathe out as he came on to the ledge. It was a steep climb. He was out of breath. Instinctively, I was up and on to him before he could step into the room. “We wrestled on the bed as I tried to prevent him from grabbing my handbag and laptop. “He thought he could grab something and get out,” said the retired estate agent and widow. Fleeing a beating, the burglar made for the window through which he had come in. Harris said on his way to the window, the burglar grabbed her computer’s external hard drive. “His foot was on the air con box below the window and his body was almost out of the window. I grabbed his hooded jacket from behind and told him, ‘You’re not taking this, you bastard!’ “This was the last straw. I held on to him with all my strength. I screamed so loud, I thought neighbors would rush to my aid and arrest the guy,” she said. Harris was not prepared to give up. She held on for several minutes until her hand became sore. Realizing no one was responding to her screams for help, she decided to let him go. “I told him, ‘you are going down much harder than you came up’. With all my strength, I shoved him off the ledge. He landed with a thud on some bricks in the garden and let out a few cries of pain. He then hobbled and jumped over a fence,” Harris said. The man had fallen 6m. Umbilo police are investigating. No arrest has been made.

It’s not known why the police were unable to arrest them. September 2015 Report from Watchdog Tzaneen: “I spoke to Anton Venter this morning and received info of yet another farm attack, this time on Georges Valley.
The complainants was overpowered by three armed blacks before 04H00am this morning in their house on a farm in Georges Valley. The owner and his wife was tied up and a farm-child was used to “guide the gunmen through the house to find the valuables. “ The house was ransacked and all the valuables loaded into the victims’ vehicle. The suspects went outside to drive away but one victim got loose and raised the alarm on the George Valley (CB) radio. The black thugs returned to the house and took the radio and then forced the farm-child to show them how to start the vehicle so they could flee! The alerted Georges Valley farmers teamed up and chased the stolen vehicle into Pietersburg (ANC-name: Polokwane). There the South African Police service waited for the three thugs and fired at the vehicle – which went off the road through a fence and into the bushes. The black thugs somehow managed to flee from the police and none of the gunmen were arrested.

WARMBATHS– September 10 2015: An 86-year-old good white Samaritan was brutally assaulted and left for dead by a black hitchhiker he had picked up minutes earlier. Mr Robert “Pat” Paterson gave a young black man a lift on the Mabalel/Uitkyk Road last Thursday, only to be stabbed 18 times in the face and neck with an awl. He was discharged from hospital on Monday following a number of surgeries to his wounds. The attack occurred at 14:30. Paterson said he often picked up hitchhikers on that dirt road since very few vehicles drive by. “I saw a young man standing next to the road. He looked very respectable and it was in broad daylight, so I decided to give him a lift. I had hardly pulled away when he grabbed my hand from the steering wheel and started beating me,” Paterson recalled. I asked him what he was doing, but he didn’t say a word. He then pulled out a tool which is normally used to lace American footballs and stabbed me with it. Paterson sustained a number of serious stab wounds to his face and neck – 18 wounds in total. “He missed my main artery by a few millimetres.” According to Paterson, the thug told him to hand over the car keys, but Paterson had dropped them on the floor of the car. “I told him I didn’t know where they were, but he just carried on hitting and stabbing me. He got out of the car, flung open my door and searched for it himself.” Paterson recalled a few vehicles driving by. “I waved at all of them but no one stopped. After a few terrifying minutes, a man stopped and the thug fled. The man said he was from the police dog unit. He applied pressure to the severe wound in my neck and phoned an ambulance.” The man was WO Danie Theron of White River K9 Unit, who is also a resident on the Uitkyk Road. “I was patrolling the area like I usually do when I saw the small car parked on the right side of the road,”Only when I drove past did I see the shivering, bleeding hand protruding from the window. I stopped and opened the door and my first awareness was the intense smell of blood. The old man was bleeding so profusely that I thought he had been shot at first. ” Theron said. “I saw the driver’s window was open and the passenger seat was reclined. Theron applied pressure to the deep gash in Paterson’s neck and phoned the ambulance, which arrived within minutes. ” Paterson said he owes his life to Theron. “I probably would have died if he hadn’t stopped to help me,” he said. While Paterson was transported to Mediclinic Nelspruit, Theron returned to the scene to search for the suspect. He found the attacker’s light-blue jacket, with the weapon inside, about 200 metres from where the incident took place, but there was no sign of him. Paterson is currently recovering at home. “Never in my life will I pick up another hitchhiker,” Paterson said. “Never ever.”

THORNVILLE- September 12 2015: A gun pressed to his forehead, Hopewell farmer Mark Anthony looked into the cold eyes of the man who was about to kill him, and then heard him pull the trigger.
He expected everything to fade to black, but realized he could still feel his heart racing, and the hooded man was still standing in front of him. The thug cocked the gun and pulled the trigger again, and again, but still nothing happened. Yesterday morning Anthony’s partner, Sarah Naicker, said she was asleep when a voice told her to wake up at around 12.30. “It was divine intervention. I knew I had to get up and I walked through to the lounge but I couldn’t see anything. “I ran back to the room and told Mark he needed to wake up.” Anthony switched the light on and walked through to the lounge and found one of the windows had been broken. “I stuck my head through the hole in the window and saw a man lurking in the shadows, against the outside wall. “I shouted at him but instead of running away, he ran straight at me. “He pulled the glass from the window, climbed inside and pulled out a gun. He said: ‘I am going to shoot you’. “He pulled the trigger twice and it didn’t go off. My heart was racing.” Anthony said he had placed a spade behind the lounge door the previous day and decided to make a run for it.
“I grabbed the spade and just started swinging it at the man. He ran behind the table in the lounge and called to his partner outside.” Outraged Anthony said the partner jumped through the window and pulled out a firearm and began shooting at Anthony. “He fired at me eight times. Not once did that gun discharge.” Meanwhile, Naicker had run outside and began screaming for help. “I ran out the back door and screamed for help. I saw the neighbour’s lights switch on. That’s when I think the men ran away.
“If I hadn’t woken up, we both would have been dead. Die Gouwsgesin het Saterdagaand gebraai en het ’n “klapgeluid” gehoor. Hulle is na buite om te gaan kyk of hulle iets sien, maar het nie onraad vermoed nie. Toe van hulle vriende ’n ruk daarna besluit het om huis toe te gaan,het hulle verby Castleman se motor gery. “Ons het gestop en na haar geloop, sy het nog asemgehaal toe ons by haar kom,” sê Gouws. Volgens hom lyk dit asof sy van agter af geskiet is. Sy het ’n dik woltrui bo-oor haar nagklere aangehad. Castleman het sowat drie maande gelede vanaf Mpumalanga na Louis Trichardt verhuis. PRETORIA– September 13 2015: Three black thugs armed with an R5 and R4 rifle robbed ex-battalion members camping at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve at the weekend. Garsfontein police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said the robbers entered the compound at 03:00 on Saturday morning. He said the armed men entered the staff compound and robbed the staff before making their way to the chalets. “It is not yet clear how the three thugs made their way into the nature reserve,” he said Miller said no shots were fired and no injuries were reported. A witness and ex-battalion soldier Sergeant Desmond Schmidt (50) reportedly said the thugs robbed him in the early hours of Saturday morning of his phone, iPad, battery pack, his running shoes and leather belt. Schmidt and 60 members of the battalion were spending the weekend at the reserve’s yacht club as part of their annual meeting. Another ex-battalion member, Peter Frankenberg (66), said his wallet and the TV he had brought to watch a rugby game on were stolen. An armed robbery docket was opened at the Lyttelton police station. The nature reserve has been known for criminal activities over the years. In 2013 an armed robbery took place were five black thugs , armed with revolvers, took R70 000 and also stole a red Opel Corsa. In 2010, two white rhinos were killed for their horns at the nature reserve.

Hy vertel: “Ek het by die trappe afgestap in die rigting van die treinrestaurant, na die strand se kant toe. Terwyl ek oor die parkering geloop het, het ek skielik ‘n geraas agter my gehoor. Toe ek omkyk het daar twee swart mans, wat met messe gewapen was, agter my gestaan. “Hulle het my begin aanval en ek het na die korter verdagte se mes probeer gryp. Alles het baie vinnig gebeur en hulle het aangehou om my te steek. Ek het geval, waarna hulle my op my regterhand geskop het sodat ek my selfoon moes los. Ek het dit gelos en die kriminele het dit gegryp en daarmee weggehardloop.” ‘n Voertuig wat die twee kriminele sien weghardloop het, het Kirsten te hulp gesnel en die ambulansdienste ontbied. Hy is in die Mosselbaai Provinsiale Hospitaal opgeneem en vir verskeie meswonde behandel. NELSPRUIT– September 14 2015: A couple of Nelspruit in Mpumalanga, South Africa is grateful to be alive after being attacked and brutally beaten on Sunday morning June 14, 2015, on a farm 30 km outside the town. Aneil Saaiman (38) and his wife, Mariette (45), were attacked between 9:00 and 10:00 by three suspects after one of the black thugs apparently crawled through under the electrified fence. Marlandi Kussman (21), the couple’s daughter, said on Wednesday to Maroela Media her mother heard the birds’ loud chatter outside the house as they normally do when a snake is near. Mariette went out to investigate and saw a ladder up against the fence where the other two thugs allegedly climbed over. She turned back to go into the house when one of the thugs stormed at her and assaulted her with a wooden plank. Aneil heard Mariette’s screams and when he ran out, the other two tackled him. “They tied my mother in the driveway and dragged my father into the house,” Marlandi said. “One of the thugs kept hitting and kicking my mother. She pretended to be unconscious so he could stop beating her. She could hear my dad yelling inside the house as they tortured him.” According to Marlandi the thugs took Aneil to the couple’s bedroom, where they beat him repeatedly and demanded the safe’s keys. “My father was a little stubborn and he refused to give it to them. They then went to fetch my mother in the driveway and dragged her into the house.” Mariette handed the keys to the thugs and they took a handgun and a .22 rifle from the safe. They made the couple sit on the bed while they turn the cupboards upside down and tried on Aneil’s clothes. “They could not load the .22, but eventually managed to load the gun and then they took off their balaclavas,” said Marlandi. “My mother said at that moment she just thought it was the end. They will kill us.” Mariette prayed aloud and the attackers asked her to whom she was praying. When she said she was praying to God, they asked for what she was praying. She said she prayed that they would just leave her and her husband alone and go away. At that time, officials of J & M security company entered the property and the thugs fled. Mariette and Aneil were taken to Nelspruit Medi Clinic where Mariette was admitted. She suffered minor head injuries, her hand was broken and she had severe bruises all over her body. Aneil also sustained severe bruises, but was not admitted. Mariette was discharged on Tuesday and is now recovering at home. “I’m so grateful that my parents are safe, but I am very shocked about the incident,” said Marlandi. “The place is so safe. You must climb over three gates just to get in the farm, and all the houses have their own electric fences. We’re just thankful that they are alive. I just want to go home and see my parents and hug them.”

PRETORIA- September 14 2015: Hi all friends and family. Some of you know what happened to me over the last few days and others not. This is just a quick overview: On Sunday 14 Sept 2015, I went for a recovery MTB Ride after an awesome Crater Cruise on Saturday. About 5kms from my house in the open area in front of Cornwall Hill, two black thugs attacked me very unexpectantly. I fell off my bike and they forced me onto the ground. I did not know whether they were armed or not and did not resist. Told them they can take everything. They tied my hands behind my back and then told me to walk into the bush. I asked why and told them to just take the bike and let me go. They then blatantly told me that the bike does not mean anything and that today I am going to die. I then moved back to the road and the cable ties broke loose. They started to assault me and hit me with rocks against the one side of my head and back of my head. Luckily I still had my helmet on. They were like animals. I am not sure how long this pursued (probably 5 to 10 minutes) – will spare you the detail. They then suddenly ran for the bike and left me. Closeby two guys were also cycling and they had a vehicle / kombi with them (George and Schalk). They assisted me to get home and to Emergencies at Unitas. The staff helped me immediately, went for Cat Scan and luckily I had no skull fractures. A lot of stitches later, I went into surgery to clean all the wounds (really awesome deep sleep for an hour) and then went to high care for the night to get my kidneys clean from all the toxins (fight and flight). Monday AM I was declared fit to go except for swelling in my left hand. This turned out to be a small fracture. I went home Monday PM. The swelling is now almost back to normal. I have a nice blue eye and yellow skin, but think my mind is back on track. Had some trauma councelling yesterday.

BALITO– September 17 2015: A white Ballito woman and a domestic worker were tied up and locked in separate bathrooms while the house was ransacked by black thugs on Thursday afternoon. Charmaine Burger was dropping off her dog at a friend’s home in Zen Drive at about 1.30pm when three young black thugs forced their way inside. Virginia Burger said the thugs, armed with screwdrivers, slapped her sister Charmaine, numerous times before tying her up and gagging her. “She pleaded with them not to rape her and they said that if she cooperated they would not hurt her. They took her jewellery and then they began going through the house looking for valuables,” she said. Virginia said the black thugs were disturbed by the return of the home owner. “The home owner returned and when she saw Charmaine’s car loaded with her belongings outside she realized what was happening. She took the keys out of the ignition and padlocked the gate before calling security. Then the thugs appeared and she screamed at them in fright. They turned around and bolted over the back wall.” Virginia said that as the wall leads to the busy area of the KwaDukuza Fire department and BP garage the thugs were able to blend into the crowd and get away.

KRUGERSDORP- September 18 2015: Late yesterday afternoon, 18 September 2015, EPR reported to Sector 4 regarding an armed robbery in Noordheuwel. The white owners were tied up in their home and several items were taken by black thugs. Amongst the items taken was a Toyota Prado. The vehicle was recovered with the assistance of Netstar. We would also like to thank the following for their reaction to and assistance with the situation: Flora life hospital, Krugersdorp Fire and emergencies department, Netcare 911 and CPF Sector 4 First Aid responders for attending to the victims. EPR, Thompsons Security, CPF sectors 7, 8 and 4 for assisting with searching the surrounding areas for the vehicle with the help of Netstar. By our continued and combined efforts we keep on working to make our community a safer place for all.

CAPE TOWN– September 18 2015: A white panel-beater guard on his way to work was brutally murdered for his cell phone this morning at the Avondale Station in Parow. Danny Brink (53) and a friend, both from Parow, were waiting for the train to Bellville just after 05:00, when they were approached by four unknown black thugs, who threatened them with knives and demanded their belongings. “The friend released his property, a cell phone, watch and bag containing keys and food,” says Lieutenant Kevin Williams of the Parow police. He says Brink refused and he was assaulted with a steel object and stabbed. “When we arrived he was still alive, but had a gashing wound to his head,” Williams says. Brink was taken to Tygerberg Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later. According to a security guard at the station, night shift guards were on duty when the incident happened, but because the station building is being renovated, the lights aren’t working on the platforms. “If you stand on the bridge (across the tracks) that time of the morning, you cannot see far,” he says. Christel Schoeman, chairperson of the Fairfield Neighbourhood Watch, says she arrived at the station shortly after 06:00 because she commutes from this station daily. “Many a morning there will be no security on duty. And with it being a building site, the security is not at all what it is supposed to be,” she says. She says the watch has a constant battle with Metrorail about this, but gets no response from them. “This is not a new issue, but what saddens me is that this incident will probably set them in motion. Why does someone have to get killed first?” She says the neighborhood watch is looking at practical ways to beef up security in the area with the help of the community. The Fairfield Neighbourhood Watch, community policing forum (CPF) and police plan to meet at the station on Friday night in honor of the deceased. “We want to demonstrate our solidarity as the local community and unite against these senseless acts of violence against innocent victims. Residents and other CPF affiliated member organisations are welcome to join,” the CPF posted on their Facebook page. n Swaar gewonde man was sowat 16 uur lank saam met sy vrou se bebloede lyk in ’n instapkluis in hul huis op die Motlopi Lodge-wildplaas buite Thabazimbi toegesluit. ’n Vriendin van die gesin, Marie Barnard, wat ook saam toegesluit was, het Bruno Res (73) kalm probeer hou en sy wonde versorg. Bruno was in ’n beswyming van die pyn. Hy is in die plaasaanval Vrydagaand aangerand en in die arm geskiet. Sy vrou, Petro (60), is in die kop geskiet. Wendy van Wyk, ’n buurvrou, sê vyf SWART TERRORISTE het buite die huis geskuil en Petro oorval toe sy en Barnard omstreeks 18:00 by die plaashuis aankom. ’n SWART TERRORIS met ’n pistool het haar na die instapkluis in die hoofslaapkamer gevat en wou juwele en wapens hê. “Hy was baie aggressief.” Twee van die SWART TERRORISTIESE AANVALLERS is na die kombuis, waar Bruno TV gekyk het. Petro is met die pistool teen die kop gedwing om die instapkluis oop te maak. In dié kluis is ’n kleiner kluis. Intussen het van die aanvallers Bruno, ’n diabeet, in die kombuis oorval en erg geslaan. Die aanvallers het Bruno na die kluis in die kamer gesleep en gesê hy moet die kleiner kluis oopmaak. “Hy was te geskok en kon nie die kode onthou nie. Toe skiet hulle hom in die arm,” sê Van Wyk. Die swart aanvallers het Barnard toe rondgestamp en gevra om die kluis oop te maak. Sy het gesê sy kan nie. Barnard en Bruno, wat intussen sy bewussyn verloor het, is in die kluis ingeboender. “Petro het met haar gesig in die bloed gelê. Marie het haar omgedraai en haar kop vasgehou. Sy het geroggel en is in Marie se arms dood,” sê Van Wyk. Die aanvallers het die kluis se deur toegesluit en gevlug. “Marie was 16 uur saam met Petro se lyk in die kluis. “Sy het Bruno, wat in ’n beswyming van pyn was, probeer kalm hou en sy wonde versorg,” sê Van Wyk. Otto sê vyf vuurwapens, waaronder haelgewere en jaggewere, is gesteel. Volgens van Wyk het ’n man wat herstelwerk aan ’n woonwa van die Res-egpaar moes doen, Saterdag onraad vermoed toe hy nie antwoord by die plaashek kry nie. Hy het die polisie ontbied. “Marie het gehoor daar is iemand in die huis en het toe uit die kluis om hulp geskreeu,” sê Van Wyk. Barnard se selfoon is in die aanval gesteel. Die polisie en die Spoorsnyers, ’n misdaadbestrydingsgroep, het een van die verdagtes Saterdagnag in hegtenis geneem. Hy het glo van die gesteelde ammunisie by hom gehad.

Update – It is with sadness that I report the following. Last night at Motlopi Lodge near Thabazimbi a woman was killed and her husband was seriously injured.
