ATTENTION BLOGGERS, BUSINESS OWNERS AND MARKETING DIRECTORS:

33 tools to help you maximize your Pinterest results!

If you’re not leveraging Pinterest for your business you are definitely missing out on a real gold mine.

Pinterest is no longer just about pretty pictures or for ecommerce businesses. Did you know that 5 million articles are being pinned on Pinterest on a daily basis? According to Shareaholic Pinterest now drives more traffic to publishers than Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit and Google+ combined! This is amazing for bloggers, writers, and publishers. Information is spreading like wild fire! Is your business taking advantage of this powerful, viral trend?

Pinterest has attracted over 70 million monthly visitors since March 2010 and is the third most popular social network. In terms of driving revenue, Pinterest shoppers spend more money than Facebook and Twitter users according to Monetate. When you think about how much longer Facebook and Twitter has been around those are pretty impressive stats that businesses can’t ignore.

Since the last time I wrote a blog on Pinterest tools there have been some players that have not survived such as Pinreach and several others have changed their business names and business models. I must say that as I go through these websites I really needed to drill into them to try and figure out what their services were exactly because it isn’t obvious. So this list took me awhile to update but as a Pinterest consultant it is my job and hey it’s done and I’m happy to share it with you!

This list isn’t just about analytics or scheduling tools what I found this time is very interesting; a few of these companies are offering pay for performance model marketing systems focusing on social media platforms.

What that means is that brands only pay for click throughs, cost per follower, repins, social actions and so forth. What this also tells me is that businesses more and more are looking for ways to pay only when they get a concrete social action or result. The key is to decide what metrics you need to be measuring and find the tool that best works for your brand.

The other thing I found interesting is how pinners and influential bloggers are getting paid to pin on behalf of brands! So if you have a ton of followers on Pinterest you could definitely be saying “caa-ching” if you get involved!

The following tools have links to their websites and a description about what each of the businesses do. (As far as I can tell)  If you don’t see a price list it’s because you have to contact them directly for that info. If you think I’ve missed anything or any other tools please let me know in the comments sections at the end of the blog. As a Pinterest consultant that is one of the ways I stay on top of this fast changing powerful platform.
