The beloved Burien Brat Trot – a grassroots fundraiser for various local non-profits – is coming Oct. 6th, and if you like to save $ausage, you should register before midnight this Saturday, Aug. 31, as prices go up after then.
This great local fundraiser benefits the Highline Schools Foundation, Seattle Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids South King County.

5k registration—$30 through 8/31, $35 as of 9/1
1 mile registration–$25 through 8/31, $30 as of 9/1
Family Registration still available through 9/30–$25 per person for a family of 4 in the same household!
Enjoy the flat and fast 5k race around Lake Burien and surrounding neighborhoods — or the fun and feisty one mile race. Both races start and end in Olde Burien — where you’ll be surrounded by a day-long party called “Bavarianfest,” complete with beer gardens, plenty of brats, Oompah music, live rock bands, kids’ activities, and frivolity!
THE COURSES
This year, BOTH COURSES begin at the corner of 10th and 152nd street. The 5k (USTAF certified) circles Lake Burien. The one mile race heads east on 152nd and does a mid-course turn around. Both courses finish right where they started—and the corner of 10th and 152nd—right in the heart of the Brat Trot Bavarianfest.
THE PUB CRAWL WILL BE FRIDAY, OCT. 4
Head out as a pack to as many Burien establishments as you can on crawl night – earn points, endure challenges, have a blast! All teams are entered to win great prizes! Winners announced on race day. CORPORATE TEAM CHALLENGE
Groups of 10 or more representing the same organization can register as Corporate teams and receive a discount. The team with the most registrants by midnight, October 3rd, wins a holiday party at the Tin Theater! Teams must have discount codes specific to their team to register. FASTEST TEAM CHALLENGE
All teams registered will automatically be entered into this challenge! We’ll average every teams’ fastest 10 finish times (5k only). The team with the fastest average time wins bragging rights, a trophy, and other cool prizes!
