TWE WHISKY SHOW UNVEILS TRADE DAY ACTIVITY

The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show 2013 is almost upon us and the trade session, on Monday 7th October, has a number of exciting features including innovative masterclasses from Auchentoshan and William Grant & Sons.

Building on the success of previous years, there will also be whisky makers on hand to delve deeper into the production process, from field to bottle.  The Whisky Show offers you the chance to meet the people behind the drinks brands as well as the buyers, distributors, bartenders and writers who make the industry what it is.

With more than 80 whisky brands and over 400 whiskies to try, along with the usual array of masterclasses, food pairings and cocktail demonstrations, it is a day not to be missed.

Specially crafted masterclasses will be taking place for the trade day – The Auchentoshan Taste Experiments is a continuation of their sell out consumer events that have been held in London this year.  Hosted by Alasdair Dickinson from Morrison Bowmore Distillers, Auchentoshan’s class will feature both a look into the science of flavour with taste experts DunneFrankowski and insight into the use of wood.

William Grant’s will examine one of the most important but seldom seen elements of the whisky industry, single grain whisky.  John Scott of their Girvan Distillery will be on hand to demonstrate the virtues of this excellent spirit and how it should be appreciated.

This year there will also be live distilling demonstrations from The Balvenie, fantastic food and whisky pairings by Martine Nouet as well as music and whisky combinations at the Jazz FM stand.  Ryan Chetiyawardana is back once again with his creative cocktail bars serving up mixed whisky drinks  – this year he has teamed up with Wild Turkey and Cutty Sark to bring some cocktail magic to the show.

Sukhinder Singh, The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show Director, says: “The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show has become the place to experience and enjoy some of the rarest and most prestigious whiskies from around the globe.  With more exhibitors than ever before The Whisky Show is the best event in the world to try new releases and old favourites.”
