Relish & More

West Palm Beach is becoming more of a foodie city each time I visit. New restaurants with trendy menus and creative cuisine are popping up all over the place, giving classic West Palm Beach eateries a run for their money. My latest find, Relish & More, comes in as one of the top 3 restaurants in West Palm Beach on Trip Advisor, out of over 500 restaurants. Relish & More has the best burgers and shakes in West Palm Beach; maybe even in Florida.

Visiting Northwood Village

I visited Relish & More with my daughter (Taylor) and son-in-law (Blake). Relish & More is located in Northwood Village, an adorable area that I was unfamiliar with. Northwood is getting a facelift and positioning itself to be the up and coming hipster part of West Palm Beach. Relish & More fits in perfectly by offering a spin on two classic food items, burgers and milkshakes.

The decor at Relish & More is stylish. Up front, there is a visual display of the milkshake choices available. Yes, the milkshakes come out looking picture perfect. Taylor, Blake, and I perused the huge menu and placed our order at the counter. The food at Relish & More is prepared fresh and takes a little longer than usual; I knew the wait would be worth it.

Decadent Burger Choices

After much consideration, Blake opted for the Burger of the Month, which was Bison. He made his meal a combo, selecting fries as his side and a craft soda to drink. The price of his meal was $26.07, a bit steep for lunch, but darned tasty.

The Burgers at Relish & More come with your choice of relish, selected from a mini-menu. Blake chose mango bbq sauce.

Not Only Burgers Break the Mold Here

Taylor ordered the Fried Mac & Cheese ($7.99), buttery panko crumb crusted macaroni and cheese bites flash fried. It was amazing! I chose the Beef Burger made into a salad, costing $3.49 more. I was pleased that it was a real salad, not just a burger placed on a lettuce leaf. In addition to the burger, my salad included Mushroom Leek Duxelle relish, garbanzo beans, red onions, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, and carrots. It tasted sensational! I would like to eat my burgers like this every time. The beef was both flavorful and juicy.

Rather than fries, I opted for a side of Zucchini Straws (thin, spiral cut zucchini dipped in panko, deep-fried, and dusted with a healthy sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese). If you are craving something finger-licking good, these zucchini straws are sure to satisfy. OMG!

Save Room For Dessert

Just when I thought it could not get any better, out came our desserts. Taylor, a huge ice cream fan, swears that her Peanut Butter Cup milkshake ($7.99) was the best that she had ever had. There were hunks of peanut butter cup in the shake and the fat straw allowed her to enjoy those, too. Blake was happy with his Brownie milkshake.

I changed it up a bit and went with one of the only sweet treats that tempt me: donuts. Relish & More offers 6 varieties of donuts (5 in an order) for $7.99. I succumbed to the S’Mores Donuts. These hot yeast beauties were drenched in liquidy marshmallow, sprinkled with chocolate chips, and dusted with graham cracker crumbs. Totally epic! I could only hold one at the time, so I took the rest home with me and they reheated perfectly. Whomever thought up this dish needs a raise!

The Best Burgers and Shakes in West Palm Beach

Allow me to whet your appetite with a few of Relish & More’s tasty relish combinations: Sweet roasted tomato, Artichoke spinach spread, teriyaki pineapple, creamy avocado, and fiery pepper spread. Pair that delicious burger with a thick and creamy shake and you have the food combination in West Palm Beach.

No matter what you choose from the yummy menu at Relish & More, I am confident your taste buds will thank you. Mine are asking to go back for a repeat visit. Enjoy the drool-worthy photos.
