The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has a new chairperson, and it’s former Pangasinan representative Rachel Arenas.

Arenas will replace Eugeno “Toto” Villareal as the MTRCB chair, and will be leading a body of 30 members.

Senator Grace Poe, who was also a former MTRCB chairperson, voted confidence in Arenas’ appointment:

“I am confident that she will ably lead the agency towards continuity in the fulfillment of its goal of intelligent and discerning viewership.”

This means Arenas will be working with blogger Mocha Uson, who was earlier named as a member of the MTRCB.
