The Vivetta 2016 Fall/Winter show at Milan Fashion Week was a true blast from the past, with an apparent 70s influence present throughout the entire collection. MIni dresses, high-waists, baby-doll silhouettes, geometric shapes, bell-sleeves, and psychedelic prints were just some of the iconic 70s styles transported into the modern day, by designer Vivetta Ponti. The looks were complete with fluorescent colors, headpieces, and knee-high leather boots. The gleeful and vibrant designs are typical of Ponti, and consistently lift the spirits of drained show attendees during fashion weeks. These formally wildly popular trends are appearing to make a comeback, as 70s style and retro designs make a comeback, and the circular nature of fashion and history is confirmed.
