As you can tell from the picture above, I haven’t been very wearing a lot of makeup. I found myself reaching for the same stuff from my January Favorites and just a couple of new things I’ve been testing lately. Most of the products I wear these days are Summer friendly because it’s getting hot in hurr and I full-on makeup doesn’t seem right in this kind of weather.

I haven’t used BB creams in a looong time. I just stopped using them for some weird reason. As for CC creams, I’ve never used it until last month when I purchased the Stem Cellular BB Cream from Juice Beauty. It was on sale and I couldn’t say no. It was the perfect way to end my being a CC Cream virgin. Anyhow, I never really knew the difference between the two but based on my experience, CC creams or color correcting have more skin benefits. I like this products because it’s a 12-in-one that tackles all sorts of skin issues like discoloration, wrinkles, sun damage etc. It’s lightly tinted just to add a hint of color and to even out your skin tone. It’s made from natural ingredients and smells amazing too! I apply this before my makeup as an alternative to primers and it works. On its own, it gives me a healthy glow that makes my skin look good even without makeup on.

For foundation, I alternate the Cover Girl TruBlend Liquid Makeup* and Happy Skin Cosmetics Don’t Get Mad Get Even Liquid Foundation*. What these two share in common is that they apply medium to heavy coverage without it feeling like it’s sitting on top of your skin. Sometimes I forget I’m wearing foundation! A pump goes a long way and looks natural on the skin. Since I’ve been under a lot of stress lately, I don’t get sleep and my skin looks dull. I combat that by mixing half a pump of the Nature Republic Orchid Secret Base. I love this because it has tiny shimmer particles that gives your skin a radiant glow. It doesn’t make my skin oily or shimmery.

I found a cheaper dupe for the Nars Laguna Bronzer, it’s the Rimmel Natural Bronzer! I seriously love this one because it creates the most natural contour or shadow. It’s not too orange nor brown. No shimmers, too! On days when I’m not in the mood to be all made up, I just dab a few of the Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream in Fuchsia. I didn’t like Fuchsia at first because I thought it would be too pink on my cheeks but I learned to love it over time. It looks flattering and makes you look happy, bubbly and lively.

They say it’s better the second time around and it’s true with the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil. I didn’t like it before because it’s too dark for my preference. However, I tried it again and loved it ever since! It’s easy to apply with its twist up pen design. The tips is slanted so you can easy draw and follow the natural shape of you brow. It’s very pigmented so I use an angled brush to even it out on my brows. Another eye product I’m loving is the Pixy Colors of Delight Eyeliner Pencil.* It’s jet black and blendable. The tip is firm yet soft so it would be easy to line your eyes with. It’s my go-to product for when I want to create a soft smokey eye!

For the lips, I go pink or nude. Lancome Rouge in Love in Boudoir Pink is the perfect pick me upper shade. It’s pink and bubbly. It’s long-lasting and leaves a nice faded tint on the lips. One of my recent favorites is the Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks in Camilla*. I adore this nude shade! It’s simple yet sexy. You know what I mean? Haha!

Last but not the least, Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water* and Nivea Cleansing Wipes. These two make makeup removing hassle-free! Nivea saves me energy at night because I don’t have to go to the bathroom to wash my face. One ply of this wet tissue is enough to remove makeup and impurities. I also love Bioderma because it easily removes makeup without dragging the skin. Both two products are efficient but I wish they remove waterproof products much easier. Overall, I love these! Not only do these keep my skin clean, they refresh it too!

There goes my monthly favorites! Not a lot but I love these because they help me survive the weather! Anyway, that’s all for now! Do share in the comments what you’ve been loving lately. Please also let me know if there’s anything you want me to review or write about. :) Thanks!
