Lily Lolo are an up and coming British makeup brand who specialise in high performance, high quality mineral based beauty products which are free from parabens, synthetic perfumes or dyes.
I've worked with this brand previously on my 31 days of Halloween project and they have kindly recently sent me samples of their new mineral base range.
Lily Lolo are offering customers the unique opportunity to match their shade without any hassle by offering samples to your own front door. You can email or call them and inform them of your current foundation shades, send them photos and they will select shades that they think will be a perfect match. Each mineral foundation sample has a cost of £1.49 which is great, because I've personally had about 4/5 wears out of each little pot. A small amount goes a long way.
In the collection I was sent their BB cream, their mineral foundation, mineral concealer and finishing powder, which is the perfect way to create a flawless finish without the weight of traditional makeup formulas.
The 'Lo' Down
The BB cream
Available in three shades the Lily Lolo BB cream is the perfect base to perfect your skin tone. Either to be worn alone or as a staring point with the other products the BB cream has a light and sheer finish which blurs imperfections and is packed with nourishing and anti ageing ingredients. This one is ideal for those days in the summer where you don't want to wear a full face of makeup, but still want to feel a little made up.
Mineral Foundation
Available in eighteen shades the Lily Lolo mineral foundation offers a beautifully light sheer coverage. Finely milled the formula buffs into the skin effortlessly whilst giving a beautiful even finish.
Mineral Concealer
Available in four shades, I was most surprised by the coverage of the mineral Concealer. Having never used one before I couldn't believe how well it covered the bags under my eyes. The slightly heavier coverage effortlessly conceals blemishes and skin imperfections in a natural and delicate way.
Finishing Powder
The silky soft and delicately light diffusing powder sets makeup in place providing extra staring power. I tried the translucent silk shade which offered a beautiful and delicate illumination on the skin.
Have you ever tried a mineral base before?
