You all know how much I love my accessories. I think they truly punctuate your look. When it comes to clothes, I often wear the basics, but add a variety of fun accessories to kick up my overall style. Bags and shoes are my standard go-to’s, but lately I’ve been embracing silk scarves, too. A chic scarf tied around your neck or on the handle of your handbag adds such a chic twist! And scarves are pretty versatile – you can wear them in the ways I just mentioned, as well as tied around your arm, on your belt loop or even your leg! And if the scarf is unique enough, you can frame it in your home, as art!
I recently discovered a brand of beautiful scarves that are both stylish and artistic. I’m talking about Mila & Such. Co-founded by Mila Sohn and her partner, Joseph Suchta, the line was launched while she was fighting breast cancer! The pair turned her love for drawing beautiful flowers into a line of 100% pure silk scarves to cover her head while undergoing chemo treatments. Each scarf is handmade using the silkscreen process, and the result is a collection of bold, floral printed pieces of art. And I love that they were able to turn life’s lemons into lemonade!
I received the 20″ “Playful” scarf and it’s as delicate and beautiful as the flower depicted on it. I’ve already rocked it, wearing it in the classic way (as a loose necktie), but the print is so beautiful and the colors so vibrant, I’d also love to frame it and hang it on my wall!
