The grand tale of Queen Rudramadevi comes alive in stereoscopic 3D. The film revolves around the story of the queen, Rudramadevi, who ruled the Kakatiya dynasty in the 13th century. This will be India's first historical stereoscopic 3D film, and will see actress Anushka portray the brave-hearted queen.

In this movie Anushka Shetty is playing role of Rudramadevi and negative role Mahadeva Nayakadu is playing by Vikramjeet Virk. Ganapathi Deva Chakravarthi role, which has got so much importance, will be played by Rebel Star Krishnam Raju and Prakash Raju will be seen in Mahamanthri Sivadevayya role. Ajay will be seen as Prasadaditya, Baba Sehgal as Naga devudu, JayaPrakash Reddy as Amba Devudu, Catherine Tresa as Annambika, Hamsanandini as Madanika.
Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, L.B.Sriram, M.S.Narayana, Krishna Bhagavan, Aditya Menon etc played the other key roles in 'Rudramadevi'.Neetha Lulla, who has worked for big Bollywood films like 'Jodha Akbar', is the costume designer for this film.
