Heading into winter...

So that's it then- we're fully in winter! With the clocks having gone back last weekend and evenings officially beginning at about 4pm (le sob), it's safe to say that now Halloween is done and dusted we can (pretty much) start the Christmas countdown- right, right? So, as normal, I've curated some of my favourite seasonal pieces from the past few weeks (including a cosy knit, reading material and some quality day-off Sunday suggestions)- in hope they inspire you too! Happy November!

A big ol' magazine haul: I have a horrible habit of heading into my favourite newsagents on Wardour Street, acquiring a huge (un-carriable) pile of magazines and never reading them. Fortunately (and of late)- I've managed to start indulging in some good quality reading time, and have fallen in love with both this months Jalouse (with the most awesome editorial of Cressida Bonas) and The Gentlewoman too. Now to finish my pile before next month!

The knit of dreams: Is there anything Oliver Bonas can't get completely right? I'll answer that; no. Not only do they do the most stunning home ware, gifts, wrapping, cards, jewellery and basically everything in between- but their clothing is absolutely gorgeous too, and this holiday inspired knit from their Winter collection currently has my heart- isn't it dreamy?

Retro accessorising: During my time at Stylist live I was able to mooch around some of the amazing independent businesses popping up there, and introduce myself to some new loves too. One of these were British born jewellery company, Toolally- who specialise in acrylic pieces and some gorgeous retro inspired designs (and an amazing deer necklace too)! These Prada-like earrings particularly tickled my fancy, and it's safe to say I'm more than excited to whip them out for a special Christmas post coming soon!

What could be more fun than Fuji fun?: I'm a big lover of an instant camera. There's no deliberating whether 'my face looks ok' between shots or 'perfecting the angle'- it's candid, a little silly and pretty special. Recently Urban Outfitters sent me over a few of their new filters to experiment with, and they've made snapping away even more fun (and often result in pictures I like to pretend would be on my album cover could I sing... Ahem), but are such a cool way of playing around with shots- without compromising on quality.

Some other heart-stealers...

The ultimate Sunday baking day: Unfortunately at the moment I don't get a lot of time to bake- say a day or so a month at best, but imagine getting a monthly delivery which not only contains an amazing recipe- but most of the bits (bar perishables) that you'll need to make it- amazing, right? Bakes aim to do that every month (great bakes no hassle)- and with their latest box featuring the babin' Meringue Girls- I can't wait to try out the recipe!

Some new Jo Malone: There's no need for me to elaborate on how much of a huge Jo Malone fan I am- but after visiting their newest store opening on London's beautiful Regent Street, I was completely in awe of their beautiful eye, and their incredible products. Not only does the store boast shelves of their most-loved favourites (including rereleased archived loves)- but they have a whole personalisation section, where everything from the box, bottle lid and wrap can be made totally one off for a loved one- SO perfect for Christmas!

Stationary sets of dreams: I've recently tried to make more of an effort with sending letters and notes (whether that's a small thank you for something, or otherwise)- and after receiving this personalised letter set from gorgeous stationary company, Papier- I can't wait to get writing more! Never have I realised the love for a personalised notecard, but these little sets would make for the perfect Christmas gift too.

And lastly, some colourful favourites!

Go team internet!: So, this month Zoella's second novel, Girl Online On Tour came out- and although I haven't had the chance to read it yet, made me feel incredibly proud and excited to be part of such an amazing wave of creative people online. It's so incredible how so many creators are going from sky high strengths to strengths- so being able to hold a chart topping best seller in my hands from a blogger I've loved for years is pretty awesome. Go team 'nets!

Something sweet...: I couldn't not include something sweet now, could I? Earlier this month I went to the launch of Matthew Williamson's latest collaboration with Aero, with Matthew being one of the first designers I ever loved- and still love to this day. Getting to see inside his gorgeous studio, and have a look through his treasured archived felt so, so incredibly special (plus I even got to see my favourite rainbow dress of his too)! On top of that, this gal has a huge sweet tooth, so the fact it was all in aid of a ruddy lovely bar of chocolate made it all the nicer too.
