BUCKS COUNTY

On Sunday, April 10, through Thursday, April 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, one lane will be closed on northbound and southbound U.S 1 between U.S. 13 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville Borough, Bucks County.

I-95 and U.S. 1 motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel during these overnight operations. Crews will work Sunday through Thursday nights on both highways the next two weeks.

Travel restrictions are scheduled over the next week for a series of bridge inspections.   On Tuesday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed on U.S. 1 north at the Oxford Valley Road interchange in Middletown and Falls Townships for bridge inspections,  weather permitting.

County Line Road will be closed and detoured between Fairmont Avenue and Park Road in Warrington Township, Bucks County on Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 8, for structural repairs to the bridge over a branch of Little Neshaminy Creek.
During construction, County Line Road through traffic will be detoured over Lower State Road, Street Road, and Route 611 (Easton Road). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Starting Sunday, April 3, through Thursday, April 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, one lane will be closed on northbound and southbound U.S 1 between U.S. 13 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville Borough, Bucks County for for bridge deck and expansion joint repairs.

Route 32 (River Road) will be closed and detoured between Walters Lane and Point Pleasant Pike in Tinicum and Plumstead townships, Bucks County, from Monday, April 4, through Monday, April 25, for the removal of the temporary bridge at Point Pleasant.

During the operation, passenger cars using Route 32 will be detoured over Point Pleasant Pike, Route 413 (Durham Road), and Dark Hollow Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone on either side of the bridge. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

A truck detour takes large trucks over U.S. 202 and Route 611.   The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.

Travel restrictions will be in place on Route 132 (Street Road) and Kingston Way in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.
On Monday, December 28, through Friday, April 29, Kington Way will be closed and detoured between Old Street Road and Route 132 (Street Road). Southbound Route 132 (Street Road) motorists wanting to access Kingston Road will be detoured over Old Street Road to Kingston Road; northbound Route 132 (Street Road) drivers will be detoured over Richlieu Road, Windsor Drive, and Stratford Lane.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, March 28 to rehabilitate the township-owned Willow Road bridge over Ironworks Creek in Northampton Township, Bucks County.
Willow Road will be closed and detoured between Bustleton Pike and Buttonwood Road from Monday, March 28 through June 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. During construction, Willow Roand through traffic will be detoured over Route 232 (Second Street Pike), Tanyard Road and Bustleton Pike.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, March 7 to rehabilitate the county-owned Kansas Road bridge over Little Neshaminy Creek in Warrington Township, Bucks County.
Kansas Road will be closed and detoured between Redstone Drive and Forsythia Drive from Monday, March 7 through June 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. During construction, Kansas Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 611 (Easton Road), Titus Avenue and County Line Road.
In addition to Kansas Road, PennDOT’s contractor will replace the superstructures (bridge decks and beams) on the Willow Road bridge over Ironworks Creek in Northampton Township; Moyer Road bridge over Pleasant Creek in Hilltown Township; Alden Avenue bridge over Rock Run in Falls Township; and Springfield Street bridge over SEPTA rail tracks in Springfield Township.

Construction will begin Monday, February 29 on a project to improve travel and safety on Route 32 in Solebury Township, Bucks County, by replacing a 1,300-foot-long deteriorated retaining wall and rebuilding the state roadway in the area of the wall.
Route 32 (River Road) will be closed and detoured between Cuttalossa Road and Laurel Road beginning February 29. The road is scheduled to reopen in June 2016. A posted detour will take passenger vehicles over Route 263 (Upper York Road), Aquetong Road, and Greenhill Road. Trucks will be detoured over U.S. 202 and Route 611 (Easton Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction area on Route 32 (River Road).

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Route 29 (Gravel Pike) will be reduced to one lane weekdays between Church Lane and High School Drive in Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County, from Thursday, April 14, to Tuesday, April 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for resurfacing.

The right lane on U.S. 422 west will be closed on weekdays over the next two weeks between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, for the placement of 27 concrete beams on the new bridge being built over the Schuylkill River.

Crews will work from Tuesday, April 12, through Friday, April 15, and from Monday, April 18, through Friday, April 22, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area as backups may occur when westbound U.S. 422 is reduced to one lane during this time.

Cedar Grove Road is closed at the intersection with Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, through Friday, April 8, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for a sewer replacement.
Cedar Grove Road through traffic will be detoured over North Lane and Hector Street. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Weekday shoulder closures are scheduled on U.S. 422 east and west between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) interchanges in Montgomery County, from Monday, March 7, through early April, for clearing operations alongside the expressway.
The outside shoulders along U.S. 422 will be closed the next few weeks on Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for clearing brush and trees, and installing erosion and sedimentation controls.
The speed limit in the U.S. 422 work zone is reduced to 45 miles per hour, and motorists are advised to reduce their travel speeds and be alert of crews working on the highway. The contractor’s work schedule is dependent on the weather.

Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, November 17, to rehabilitate the Graterford Road bridge over the Perkiomen Creek in Perkiomen and Skippack townships, Montgomery County.    During construction, Graterford Road through traffic will continue to follow the posted detour of Route 29, Plank Road, and Route 73. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.  The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic in late April 2016.

Nighttime lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and 1st Avenue interchanges in Montgomery County and Chester County on Sunday through Thursday nights, beginning Sunday, March 20, and continuing until late May, for shoulder reconstruction.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, March 7, to rehabilitate the township-owned Oreland Mill Road bridge over Sunnybrook Creek in Springfield Township, Montgomery County.
Oreland Mill Road will be closed and detoured between Plymouth Avenue and Meadow Lane from Monday, March 7 through June 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. During construction, Oreland Mill Road through traffic will be detoured over Lorraine Avenue and Route 73 (Church Road).
In addition to Oreland Mill Road, PennDOT’s contractor will replace the superstructures (bridge decks and beams) on the Trewigtown Road bridge over Neshaminy Creek in Hatfield Township; Keeble Road bridge over Abrams Creek in Upper Merion Township; and Remington Road bridge over west branch of Indian Creek in Lower Merion Township. Construction on the Violet Lane bridge over the east branch of Indian Creek in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, began Monday, February 22.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, February 22 to rehabilitate the township-owned Violet Lane bridge over the east branch of Indian Creek in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Violet Lane will be closed and detoured between Foxglove Lane and Periwinkle Lane from Monday, February 22 through June 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. During construction, Violet Lane through traffic will be detoured over U.S. 30 (East Lancaster Avenue), Remington Road, U.S 1 (City Avenue) and Foxglove Lane.

Aqua Pennsylvania is scheduled to close Flourtown Road between Thomas Road and Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, February 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for water main replacement.  The weekday closure will be in effect through the end of June.  During construction, Flourtown Road through traffic will be detoured over Thomas Road and Stenton Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Construction will begin Monday, November 2, on a project to rehabilitate the bridge carrying Orvilla Road over the West Branch of Neshaminy Creek in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists will continue to use the posted detour around the Orvilla Road construction area by taking County Line Road, Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), Broad Street and Route 463 (Cowpath Road).
The project is scheduled to finish in Spring 2016.

Starting Monday, April 11, through the end of August, Church Road will be closed for water main replacement between New Second Street and Route 73 (Township Line Road) in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During construction, motorists will be detoured over New Second Street and Route 73 (Township Line Road).

Construction will start Monday, April 25, to rehabilitate the structurally deficient bridge carrying Route 73 (Skippack Pike) over Perkiomen Creek in Perkiomen and Skippack townships, and Schwenksville Borough, Montgomery County. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in late December.

During construction, Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be closed and detoured between Main Street and Haldeman Road. The posted detour will use Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Plank Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

CHESTER COUNTY

PECO Energy will restrict Radnor Road at Upper Gulph Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, on Monday. April 11, through Friday, April 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for electrical conduit installation.

Daylong lane closures will be in place on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in Uwchlan and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, for approximately two weeks starting Monday, April 4, for the installation of aerial fiber optic lines.
Over the next two weeks, the northbound right lane will be closed on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) from Ship Road to Sheree Boulevard.  Route 100’s (Pottstown Pike) southbound right lane will be closed from Marchwood Road to Sunrise Drive.  An additional lane closure also may occur, if needed, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) during construction. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

Starting Sunday, April 3, through Thursday, April 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, one lane will be closed on eastbound and westbound Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Valley Drive and Westtown Way in East Goshen Township, for bridge deck and expansion joint repairs.  The work schedule is weather-dependent.

Starting Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 29, Warren Avenue will be closed  between Paoli Pike and Andrews Road in Willistown Township, Chester County for water main replacements.  Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During construction, motorists will be detoured over Paoli Pike, Sugartown Road and Providence Road.

Nighttime lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and 1st Avenue interchanges in Montgomery County and Chester County on Sunday through Thursday nights, beginning Sunday, March 20, and continuing until late May, for shoulder reconstruction.
Initially, U.S. 422 will be reduced from two lanes to one in both directions on the nights of Sunday, March 20, to Thursday, March 24, and Sunday, March 27, to Thursday, March 31. The eastbound lane closure will be in effect each night from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, and the westbound lane closure will be in place from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning.

Main Street between Route 10 (Church Street) and Culvert Street in Parkesburg Borough, Chester County,will be closed starting Friday, December 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for water main replacement. The weekday closure will be in effect through early May.
During construction, Main Street through traffic will be detoured over Route 10 (Church Street), Leike Road and Limestone Road. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of April 11 to replace the Birmingham Road bridge over Radley Run in Birmingham Township, Chester County. The new bridge is scheduled to open in August.

During the bridge closure, Birmingham Road through traffic is detoured over Route 52 (Lenape Road), Creek Road and Route 926 (Street Road). Local access is maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

DELAWARE COUNTY

On Sunday, April 10, through Thursday, April 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, one lane will be closed on I-95 south between Route 291 (Bartram Avenue) and Route 420 (Wanamaker Avenue) in Tinicum Township, Delaware County.

I-95 and U.S. 1 motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel during these overnight operations. Crews will work Sunday through Thursday nights on both highways the next two weeks.

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 95 and U.S. 322 in Delaware County next week for pothole repairs.  The work schedule is:

·      On Tuesday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, intermittent lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) between Baltimore Pike and I-95 in Concord, Bethel and Upper Chichester townships.
·      On Wednesday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, intermittent lane closures are scheduled on I-95 south between the Philadelphia city line and the Delaware state line in Tinicum, Ridley, Chester, Upper Chichester, Lower Chichester townships; City of Chester and Upland Borough.
·      On Thursday, April 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, intermittent lane closures are scheduled on I-95 north between the Delaware state line and the Philadelphia city line in Tinicum, Ridley, Chester, Upper Chichester, Lower Chichester townships; City of Chester and Upland Borough.
