BUCKS COUNTY

Diamond Street will be closed and detoured between Route 113 and Route 152 in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, from Monday, September 12, through Friday, September 23, form 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for base repair.

During construction, Diamond Street will be detoured over Route 113 (Souderton Road) and Route 152 (Park Avenue). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Springfield Street will be closed and detoured between Route 309 and East Station Road through September 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. Motorists will be detoured over Route 309 and East Station Road.

Alden Road will be closed and detoured between Stevens Road and Valley Road through September 2016 for the replacement of the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. Motorists will follow the posted detour of Stevens Road, Gordon Road, and Valley Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zones. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas.

Bristol Road will be closed and detoured on the east side of the intersection with Route 263 (York Road) in Warminster and Warwick townships, Bucks County beginning Tuesday, September 20, for intersection reconstruction. The duration of the project is estimated to be six weeks (November 1, 2016).

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Improvements will be made to the intersection of Matsonford Road and Front Street in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, September 12.  The contractor will restrict travel lanes weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 9:00 PM to 6:00 PM through Monday, October 31.

The right lane on westbound U.S. 422 will be closed between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, for the placement of concrete beams on the new bridge being built over the Schuylkill River.

Crews will work Monday, September 12, through Friday, September 16, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area as backups may occur when westbound U.S. 422 is reduced to one lane during this time.

The Whitemarsh Township Authority is planning weekday lane restrictions on Joshua Road between Emerson Drive and Flourtown Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, beginning Friday, August 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for sewer installation.
The lane restrictions will be in place Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through the end of November.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this work area. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

Lane restrictions are scheduled over the next month on Meyers Road between Seitz Road and Mill Road in Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, August 22, for utility relocation and excavation. Crews will work weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, through mid-September.

During construction, detours will be in place at times for closures of Plank Road, Otts Road and Seitz Road. One directional closures will occur on Route 29 (Gravel Pike). The project’s traffic control plan was developed in concert with the Route 73 (Skippack Pike) bridge project because Plank Road and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) are part of the Route 73 (Skippack Pike) bridge detour. Route 73 (Skippack Pike) bridge construction began on April 25, 2016, and will finish in late December 2016.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 18, to rehabilitate the township-owned Trewigtown Road bridge over a tributary of the Neshaminy Creek in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County.

Trewigtown Road will be closed and detoured between Anthony Drive and Line Lexington Road through October 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. During construction, Trewigtown Road through traffic will be detoured over Line Lexington Road and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike).

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 11, to rehabilitate the township-owned Remington Road bridge over the west branch of the Indian Creek in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Remington Road will be closed and detoured between Minden Way and Roslyn Lane through October 2016 while crews replace the deteriorated bridge deck and beams. During construction, Remington Road through traffic will be detoured over U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue), U.S 1 (City Avenue), and Haverford Road.

Aqua Pennsylvania will restrict U.S. 202 north and south between South Gulph Road and Allendale Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.   Crews will work Sunday through Thursday nights from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, beginning August 21 and continuing until the end of October. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Lane restrictions are planned for U.S. 202 between South Gulph Road and Allendale Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, beginning Sunday, August 14, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, for water main replacement,. The overnight lane restrictions will be in place Mondays through Fridays through late October.

Limerick Township is scheduled to close Limerick Center Road between Buttonwood Drive and Enterprise Drive in Montgomery County, beginning Monday, July 11, for intersection reconstruction. The closure of Limerick Center Road will be in effect through mid-November.

During this operation, Limerick Center Road through traffic will be detoured over Ridge Pike, Lewis Road and Cherry Lane. Motorists can also take Ridge Pike to Airport Road to access Limerick Center Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Construction will start Tuesday, August 2, on a project to improve travel and safety on a three mile section of U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between Interstate 76 and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, by installing adaptive traffic signals to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety along the corridor. The project is scheduled to finish in November 2017.

Construction will start Monday, April 25, to rehabilitate the structurally deficient bridge carrying Route 73 (Skippack Pike) over Perkiomen Creek in Perkiomen and Skippack townships, and Schwenksville Borough, Montgomery County. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in late December.  During construction, Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be closed and detoured between Main Street and Haldeman Road. The posted detour will use Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Plank Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Old Welsh Road between Fitzwatertown Road and Lukens Avenue in Abington Township, Montgomery County, will close beginning Wednesday, July 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for water main installation.  The weekday closure of Old Welsh Road will be in effect through the end of December.

During construction, Old Welsh Road through traffic will be detoured over Fitzwatertown Road, Route 63 (Welsh Road/Moreland Road) and Route 611 (Old York Road). Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

PECO is scheduled to close Wynnewood Road between Bowman Avenue and North Wynnewood Avenue in Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, August 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for gas main installation. The weekday closure of Wynnewood Road will be in effect through late January 2017.

During construction, Wynnewood Road through traffic will be detoured over U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue). Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

CHESTER COUNTY

On Saturday, September 17, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, U.S. 202 south will be reduced from three lanes to two between the Route 401 and U.S. 30 interchanges as crews splice the new 144-strand line into the ITS system.

The Chester Water Authority will close Blue Ball Avenue between Scott Avenue and Columbia Avenue in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County, for two months, beginning Monday, September 12, for water main installation.  Blue Ball Avenue will be closed through Friday, November 18.

During construction, Blue Ball Avenue through traffic will be detoured over Chichester Avenue and Columbia Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Octorara Road and Old Wilmington Road in Sadsbury Township, Chester County, beginning Wednesday, September 7, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, for pedestrian safety improvements.  The weekday lane restrictions on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) will be in effect through the end of October.

The Transcontinental Gas Pipeline will close and detour Yellow Springs Road  between Route 29 and North Valley Road in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, beginning Tuesday, September 6, for the installation of a new gas main. The road will be closed Monday, September 19.

During construction, Yellow Springs Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 29, Swedesford Road and North Valley Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Route 472 (East Lancaster Avenue) will close between Vernon Street and Pine Street in Oxford Borough, Chester County, beginning Monday, August 1, for roadway reconstruction.  Route 472 (East Lancaster Avenue) will close Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through early November.

During construction, Route 472 (East Lancaster Avenue) traffic will be detoured over Route 10 (Limestone Road) and U.S. 1. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

DELAWARE COUNTY

Weekday travel restrictions are planned for Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) in Delaware County, for water main replacements.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

·    Thursday, July 28, through Friday, September 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Calcon Hook Road is scheduled to close between Bonsall Avenue and Hook Road in Darby Township and Sharon Hill Borough, Delaware County. During this weekday closure, Calcon Hook motorists will be detoured over U.S. 13 (Chester Pike), Sharon Avenue and Hook Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas.

The Delaware County Sewer Authority will close Duttons Mill Road between New Middletown Road and Creek Road in Middletown Township, Delaware County, beginning Monday, June 20 for sanitary Sewer installation. Crews will work weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through October 1.  During construction, Duttons Mill Road through traffic will be detoured over Creek Road, Knowlton Road and Route 352. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
