A Disney star is returning home to perform in the Lehigh Valley.
Sabrina Carpenter will headline Musikfest on August 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the festival's Sands Steel Stage.
Tickets for the concert are $20-$40 and go on sale May 24 at 10 a.m. to ArtsQuest members and May 27 at 10 a.m. to the public. You can purchase them online at musikfest.org or by calling 610-332-3378.
Carpenter is originally from Lower Milford Township, Lehigh County. She is best known for her role as Maya Hart in the Disney Channel show, Girl Meets World, which is a sequel to the 90s sitcom Boy Meets World. She is featured on the show's theme song 'Take on the World.'
Carpenter has performed several songs for Disney including 'Smile' and 'Standout.' She released her debut album in April 2015. It hit number 43 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album features tracks like 'We'll be the Stars' and 'Can't Blame a Girl for Trying.'
Musikfest features more than 500 performers on 16 stages throughout Bethlehem. The 33rd edition of the festival runs from August 5-14.
