A celebrity from the hit television series "Pawn Stars" brought his expertise to Reading on Friday.

The man beneath the Amish hat is Mark Hall-Patton, director of the Clark County Museum in Nevada and a recurring expert on "Pawn Stars" since its inception in 2009.

On Friday, he was in Reading and brought a chair from "Pawn Stars" along with him.

"My first reaction was it could not be," Hall-Patton said.

The chair, belonging to Senator Patrick McCarran, is one of the many pieces Mark has looked at over his 130 episodes on the show.

"It was one of those pieces I initially came in thinking this cannot be and ended up being able to say yes it is, and that is when I needed a drool cloth because this is a wonderful piece of history," said Hall-Patton.

Hall-Patton visited the Reading Public Museum for the Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture of the Interior and the Art of Seating exhibit opening. He said he has enjoyed working on the show and identifying pieces of history.

"History is just a story. It is the story of us. It is what we have done and how we have become who we are today, and anything that helps us tell that story is really worth while having and preserving for the future," said Hall-Patton.

The exhibit will be open at the museum through July 27.
