THEFT OF ATV AND DIRT BIKE: On August 10 at 4 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage in the 10500 block of Shore Acres Road in Nanjemoy and stole a Yamaha brand Warrior 300 ATV (white with red front) and Honda brand Z80 dirt bike (white with faded pink seat). PFC J. Alpert is investigating.

THEFT: During the overnight hours of August 10 and August 11, unknown suspect(s) stole the wheels and rims from a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado parked in the 9700 block of Augsburg Court in Waldorf. PFC J. Hornickel is investigating.

MAN CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On August 10 at 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the 7200 block of Hawthorne Road in La Plata for the report of a domestic-related assault. Investigation showed the suspect, James Herring, 38, of La Plata pointed a shotgun at a female acquaintance and threatened her. The victim fled and called police. Officers located Herring in the roadway with a shotgun. He was arrested and charged with first-degree assault. Cpl. J. Freeman made the arrest.

ROBBERY/CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD: On August 8 at 11:55 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Mill Hill Road in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed the victim used an ATM in a nearby county and drove home. As he exited his car, a male suspect walked up from behind him, displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspect took the victim’s cell phone and fled without obtaining any money. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’2”, 120 lbs., wearing all black clothing and possibly driving a black or gray Chevrolet Cruz or Ford Focus. Anyone with information is asked to call PFC R. ROBBERY/CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD: On August 8 at 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Wilson Lane in Waldorf for the report of a robbery that occurred about thirty minutes earlier. Investigation showed the victim had just made a pizza delivery. As she drove away, she heard a noise coming from her vehicle and stopped to check her car. The victim noticed a branch stuck in her tire well and removed it. As she started to get back in her car, she was approached by three males who asked to borrow money. One of the suspects displayed a gun which was in his waistband and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspects fled. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence.
