PASCO COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – A mother was arrested for child neglect in the drowning death of her 2-year-old son, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The little boy Clayton Foskey went missing from his home at The Verandas on Chenwood Avenue in Hudson on Apr. 27. His body was found in a pond only 150 yards away from his home about three hours later. His body was found in approximately 4 feet of water.

Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco investigated the drowning incident and discovered that the boy’s family had interaction with the Department of Children and Families before and Clayton’s mother Roxann Potts and father, Thomas Foskey, have both been arrested before.

Thursday, May 12, Pasco deputies arrested Roxann Potts for child neglect. She was taken to the Pasco County jail.

Another mother, Selina Ann Warner, 26, of New Port Richey, was also arrested and charged with child neglect and serious injury Thursday. This is an unrelated case of child drowning. It happened Apr. 21. Warner’s 2-year-old boy got out of the crib, left the house through an unlocked door and drowned in a pond.
