The Marathon Performing Arts Center opened last month and was well received in Findlay. Speaking at the Findlay Rotary Club on Monday, interim director Jenna Deja said that center’s like the one in Findlay have a significant economic impact to the community as a whole.

In regards to what people can expect from the Marathon Center, Deja said that a diverse selection of shows are planned that will appeal to a wide variety of the community. She mentioned that there will be something for everyone to see and discover.

Ed Reading, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the arts center said that the center is stepping up their community efforts soon and will be partnering with area organizations and individuals to bring in educational opportunities and community seminars around the arts.

The center is also in the process of developing a survey that will ask people what they’d like to see at the center, the kinds of shows that people would like to see and their budget.
