A Jasper man is in jail after allegedly hitting his pregnant sister and choking her boyfriend.
Jasper Police arrested Stephen Jessee Friday.
Police say the incident happened near 14th and Newton Streets and allegedly began with an argument over missing alcohol.
Police say Jessee fled the scene but was picked up a short time later.
Jessee was taken to the Dubois County jail on charges of battery, strangulation, and three counts of disorderly conduct.
