A tri-state nonprofit group receives grant money to buy shoes for students in need. The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels awarded Happy Feet Equals Learning Feet a $12,000 grant. The money will go toward buying new shoes for students who attend Owensboro and Ohio County Public School Districts. Half of that money will go toward new shoes for Daviess County Public Schools students, while OPS and Ohio County will each receive $3,000. Nearly 200 DCPS students will receive new shoes.
