With St Valentine’s Day on the horizon, now could be the time to book a romantic stay in the Alps. Pick a cute resort like Saas Fee or somewhere chic like Courchevel – and you’re halfway there. If you can’t wait, there’s still availability for the rest of January and early February – before the busy half term week of February 17.
Check for deals on the websites of the major operators like Crystal Ski, Inghams, Mark Warner, Neilson, and Ski World. It’s also worth having a look at what the ski specialist travel agencies – such as Sno, Snowfinders, Alpine Answers, Momentum Ski and Snow-Wise – have on offer at the moment.
The prize for the most affordable holiday goes to the two-star Club Hotel Les Airelles in Les Deux Alpes. It has 18 bedrooms and the nearest lift is 100m away. To stay here costs £199pp for the week starting January 18 (other weeks from £305pp). The price includes half board catering, and Gatwick flights and resort transfers.
