Instead, you shake with laughter that is entirely unintended. Because Rahaan and his pretty wife Shaina, and a shadowy blast from her past Aditya spend all their time talking thusly: ‘kuch toh raaz hai’, ‘kya raaz hai’, ‘kahin toh raaz chhupa hai’, ‘yeh raaz hamein alag kar dega’, over and anon, till this purported ‘raaz’ starts coming out of our ears, but refuses to come in front of our eyes.

The dialogues and overall sensibility are equally cheesy. "Two mouths! She has been possessed by an evil spirit," he screams in disbelief as he studies Shaina's mug. Tsk tsk. This overstretched drama is way too cliched and soppy to hold your interest but it does amuse you in its own unique ways.

One can observe quite a bit of similarities between the stories of Raaz Reboot and 1920 London Returns. A couple going through a tough time and an ex-boyfriend coming into picture, also the spooky backdrop. Raaz Reboot is a classic fail at coming even little close to scaring you. I need to reboot my memory to have watched this! A 1.5/5 for this one!

Soulful music will soothe your ears, and Emraan Hashmi is also there. Some initial scenes of arguments between Rehaan and Shaina are well written, but that’s about it. Raaz Reboot is a tough watch for close to 140 minutes. Great songs, but not enough to pull it out of the spirit’s grip.

To be honest, Raaz Reboot is not a boring film. It is so unintentionally hilarious that they might as well have marketed this as India's first 'unintentionally-hilarious-horror-comedy with violins and sex'. The movie has some of the most OMG dialogues like - "Pagal woh nahi jise bhoot dikhta hai, pagal woh hai jise insaan nahi dikhta."

Raaz Reboot is full cliches and will remind of you of a few horror movies in both Bollywood and Hollywood. The CGI effects and the background score doesn't help either. In a nutshell, Raaz Reboot has the same old stuff that we have seen a zillions times. So unless you love watching horror films that make you laugh, stay away from this one!

The music by Jeet Ganguly, Sangeet and Sidharthy Haldipur is melodious, especially the title track. However, the movie doesn’t really offer you a solid reason for watching it. ‘Raaz Reboot’ isn’t a must watch this week, catch it only if you are an ardent fan of the Raaz franchise.

Raaz Reboot is a horror film that revolves around a married couple living in Romania; Shaina (Kriti Kharbanda) and Rehaan (Gaurav Arora). Shaina & Rehaan they both hide something from each other. Things get complicated when Aditya (Emraan Hashmi) enters their life.
