Oakland’s Faun Fables is basically Dawn McCarthy and her collaborator Nils Frykdahl. On stage, they’re known as Dawn & the Faun, and they are on tour in support of their latest Born of the Sun (available on Drag City Records).
The band will be playing a “half show” at the Triple Rock next Thursday, August 4th, along with locals Bubblemath and Paul Fonfara (aka Painted Saints).

The last time we saw Mark Sultan, it was at the King Khan and BBQ at the Triple Rock in 2009. As you know, the “BBQ”, aka Mark Sultan, is their drummer... and a quirky one too!
Join Sultan next Friday at the 7th Street Entry as he solo songs (and possibly The Almighty Defenders and The Black Lips songs?) Sultan’s latest “Believe me” will be coming out on 45 (7 inch single) via Chompazoid Records.

Canadian punk band White Lung will be headlining the Triple Rock next Saturday, August 6th. The last time we saw the band at the 7th Street in 2015, they had with them Deap Vally's Lindsey Troy on bass!
Not sure who be touring bassist this time around, but currently the band is listed as a trio (Mish Barber Way,
Kenneth William, and Anne-Marie Vassiliou).
White Lung’s new album Paradise is out now on Domino Records.
Toronto’s Greys will open.
