We all know the ever so popular Juvenile song “She Get It From Her Mama”, and how it transformed into a famous anthem for all.  In this post we’re looking at wedding style inspired from the woman who taught you how to walk in those 4-inch heels, wear red lipstick, and be the confident girl you are: Your mother!  We’ve taken the classic look and mimicked it by adding a flavor of youth, so you can still carry on your Mother’s style all while keeping things modern and stylish.  By using inspiration from some of today’s hottest and most stylish celebrity mother-daughter duos, we’ve created two killer looks!   First, we’ve picked out a few items that any Mother would look dashing in, and then revamped the look by adding a few simple details for the lovely daughter.

Mother:

1.) Nude shawl 2.) Provence natural clutch 3.) Dean Davidson “CLEO” Gold with Teal Enamel Fan Stud Earrings 4.) Lip color in Berry Glace 5.) Jimmy Choo Gold Glamour Heels 6.) Lulu & Co Roksanda Ilincic silk gown

Daughter:

1.) Broderie Hermès Cashmere and Silk Stole 2.) Michael Kors White Leather clutch 3.) Big Pear earrings by Sophie 4.) NARS Semi Matte Lipstick in Catfight 5.) Jimmy Choo Abel Gold Glitter Pump 6.)Bronze Lace Dress

We stuck to a brown dress because it is really a color that looks good on anyone.  The Mother should stick to a longer gown, not revealing too much legage and the daughter should do the opposite by wearing a cute and flirty a-line dress.  The shoes are all about heel height.  The gorgeous glitter Jimmy Choo pumps will match perfectly with a brown mini for the daughter, and Mom should resort to a lower heel height, but still wear something with a bit of sparkle.  When accessorizing remember to have fun!  We’ve picked out a teal colored earring for both Mother and daughter, but gave Mom a stud versus the dangling teardrop style.  Finish off the look with a ravishing lip color.  Light pink for the daughter and deeper maroon for Mom!

I’ve picked up many of my style tips from my Mom through the years, and have only now really begun to appreciate all that she has taught me at a young age.  The next time you’re attending an event, borrow a piece of jewelry, vintage clutch, or shawl from your Mom and wear it with one of your modern and new dresses.  Trust me, it’ll be unique, classy, and timeless!
