Diamond Cushion Engagement Rings
Today it’s time for the cushion cut diamonds to have their day in the sun. We got some beautiful diamond cushion engagement rings, and we’re excited to share them with the hive.
For those playing catch-up, we launched a set of ring surveys, starting with 15 different styles of engagement rings (you can find them here and at the bottom of this post, as well as on the Boards as a stickied post). All you do is fill out the survey corresponding to your ring style (round diamond, moissanite, sapphire, etc.), which will prompt you to upload your ring photo to the Weddingbee Gallery, and then once at least 10 people with that style of ring have filled out the survey, it will become a post on the Weddingbee blog!
The posts will continuously be updated to reflect new ring submissions, and eventually we hope they will be an amazing repository of REAL engagement rings to inspire bees for years to come.

Why did you or your FI choose this ring? My husband and I wanted to meld our two styles. Mine is more Old World charm, and his is sleek and sexy Art Deco. So we designed this ring together to have elements of both. My engagement ring has an antique cushion center and custom french cut sides (also an antique style of diamond) and is set in a sleek setting with clean lines, with just a hint of milgrain for that Old World feel I love. My wedding band uses baguettes (Art Deco inspired) but has a lot of engraving and milgrain for a more romantic feel.

darkhorse84‘s Tiffany Soleste cushion cut double halo diamond engagement ring
Why did you or your FI choose this ring? It was one of a very small few I truly liked, and he picked it out of that group. There’s just something delicate and elegant about the Tiffany design as opposed to other versions I found. It was actually stolen six months after I got engaged, and I found it being sold on eBay months later. I never gave up looking for it and happened to find it the day it was posted and right before it sold to someone in Florida (I’m in Colorado). The seller was uncooperative when I told him it might be mine and I had proof, so I got the local police involved again (after making a report months earlier), and they had a detective recover it from Florida. The police had issues with the pawn shop who sold the eBay seller the ring and really wanted to press felony charges this time (which they did for two individuals). There were many Lord of the Rings jokes from family and friends afterward.
