Nirmal Baba was born in Samana, Mandi in the year 1952. His father was a Sikh and his grandfather, Lala Thakur Das, was a renowned Zamindar from a well-to-do family. After partition, this family migrated to India from Pakistan. Babaji was brought up by his mother with a lot of love and affection. Nirmal Baba’s schooling was from Samana, Delhi and Ludhiana respectively and he graduated from Government college of Ludhiana. At the age of 22, he decided to do business with a sum of Rs. 90,000 from his mother.
In the year 1974, he went to Daltonganj to do brick kiln business. Then he got married in the year 1976, to Sushma Narula, daughter of Dalip Singh Bagga, Daltonganj. But sadly, he had to take a drop in business because of some emergency. Again, he started a new business in Ranchi. Unfortunately, he met with a very serious accident on his way to Ludhiana. After recovery, he decided to move back to Delhi with two kids in 1983 to start afresh. One more struggle period was started and he left for Bahragoda to do Kinite business, and then good opportunities keep on knocking at his door.
Meantime, there was a lot of change in him, which was first noticed by his wife. He suggested few things to his family, relatives & friends… and when they benefited, there was spreading of his blessings everywhere. Since then, many people started visiting Babaji for getting simple solutions to their problems. He started holding Samagams and giving his programs on air, to reach out to as many people as he could so that more and more number of people can benefit from his simple solutions. By this time, his devotees started addressing Nirmaljit Singh Narula as Nirmal Baba. In this way, his spiritual journey began fifteen years ago.
