From 2008, August I started to do SEO still I am in this field. Then I did that for the clients’ projects but I do it for my own projects. Previously I never tried any SEO Tools apart from Google Products when I was working for an I.T. company, But after staring my blogging business, I need to use different SEO Tools.

Why are SEO Tools Necessary?

In SEO, we need to do various works like Competitor Analysis, Keyword Research, Link Building, Rank Checking etc. These Tools help us to get detail results within few times.

Which are the Best SEO Tools?

We can find both free and paid SEO Tools. It’s very hard to select between them. So I have asked the Professional Bloggers and Internet Marketers who are already successful in their business.

Experts reveal ideas about their Best SEO Tools

My question was “What are the Best SEO Tools According to you?”

Imran Uddin from Alltechbuzz.net

I honestly don’t use many tools for SEO. I believe in quality work and spend most of my time in satisfying the needs of my readers.

But while working on the content itself, I use some tools which help me in producing great content for readers.

Keyword Planner – Gives me a idea of what people are looking for which can also be used to pick the right keywords for driving traffic from search engines.

BuzzSumo – This is another great tool that I have been using since few days to find viral articles on social media.

Semrush – I can call it an all in one tool to know the data of a website either keywords or backlinks.

That’s all I personally use and recommend to everyone.

Zainil Dedhia from Techtricksworld.com

I use LTP and Ahrefs for SEO! The combination of both these tools can do wonders!

Zac Johnson from Blogging.org

My favorite SEO tools are:

SEMRush – Great to not only looking at your own SEO and rankings but also your competition. Another good feature is their site audit, which examines your site and tells you what areas need fixing.

MonitorBacklinks – Know where new links are being created for your site, and also see where your competition is building links as well.

LongTailPro – Long tail keywords are the easiest way to rank in the search results. Use this tool to find new ltk, their competition, how much traffic they get and also an idea of how hard/easy it would be to rank for.

Adam Connell from Uklinkology.co.uk

There are no shortcuts to SEO, or even good marketing. So the tools you use need to be focused on making core tasks easier.

Rather than focusing on gimmicks that don’t really help anyone.

The 3 tools find very useful at the moment are:

SEMrush – This is my go-to SEO dashboard. I use it for rank tracking, social monitoring, site audits and more. I particularly like how

Ahrefs – This is an incredible SEO toolkit. I primarily use this for backlink monitoring but they’ve been rolling out some awesome features so it now does a lot of what SEMrush does and some of what it doesn’t.

BuzzStream – Outreach is a big deal so you need a serious tool to manage it all. BuzzStream works best for teams, but I’ve also found it to work well as a straight up CRM for blogging activities. They recently rolled out an influencer database called “Discovery” which makes finding new influencers to connect with VERY easy.

My best SEO tools are SEMrush and Long tail platinum version (I love it). I don’t use a lot of tools but these are what that make my SEO efforts streamlined.

I also use Yoast as my default WordPress SEO optimizer, not only the SEO, it helps me in customizing social sharing of my blog articles. I use every feature of Yoast like sitemap, custom tags etc.

I’d suggest your readers to go through my article where I discuss the best SEO Plugins to make their site more optimized for higher ranks in SERPs.

Google Keyword Planner: great for doing keyword research and understanding keyword search volumes.

SEMrush: really great for keyword competitor research and I’ve written more about this in my SEMrush review.

Majestic SEO: probably the most advanced and sophisticated backlink analysis tool which is also great for competitor research.

Screaming Frog SEO Spider: when I need do a technical SEO audit for a site, this is the first tool I use, closely followed by Google Search Console.

Yoast SEO: if you’re a blogger or website owner using WordPress, Yoast SEO is definitely a worthwhile install.

Buzzsumo: an awesome tool for bloggers and content marketers to discover trending content and top content that is shared socially. For more, I’ve also written a Buzzsumo review.

Wincher: I recently discovered this keyword ranking tool. It has a weekly free version for 1000 keywords and a low-cost daily premium option for 2000 keywords.

Akshay Hallur from Gobloggingtips.com

SEMrush: This tool is the Swiss-army-knife for any serious blogger and internet marketer. Without this, I could not have effectively implemented my SEO and blogging strategies. It’s just great.

You can implement Skyscraper method effectively from it.

Here’s my SEMrush guide on how to use it to increase your organic traffic.

Ahrefs: This tool is the best competitor backlink analysis tool, with it’s huge index. Recently, it has also released keyword index with which you can spy on competitors’ keywords. With the free account on Ahrefs, you can authorize the sites you own. So that you can fully monitor the backlinks of yours. And also, you can track the rankings of your keywords.

MozBar: This comes as an extension for Chrome and Firefox. After some experience, with the help of MozBar, you can accurately determine whether you can rank for a keyword. There are also toolbars like Ahrefs Toolbar and SEOquake you should consider.

Long-tail Pro: With this tool, I can easily come up with great keyword ideas. It lets me accurately determine the keyword competition for SEO. Platinum version is certainly the way to go, as it comes with additional features like keyword competitiveness.

Anil has written a good article on it.

For basic SEO of my site, I use WordPress SEO by Yoast. But I believe in quality content. Because without it, SEO will be left in vain.

With Google Rankbrain algorithm and A.I., link building would not be as effective as it were. So, focus on earning links rather than building them.

Wade McMaster from Designwebidentity.com

I don’t use many fancy tools for my websites, I generally just use the Google Keyword tool and the Google Search Engine itself.

Anil Agarwal from BloggersPassion.com

I personally use and highly recommended SEMrush and Long Tail Pro. They are both incredible tools for doing keyword research to analyzing your competitors.

And even blogging & SEO experts recommend both these tools. I did a roundup post around Keyword research tools here where SEMrush receives the highest votes, followed by Long Tail Pro.

If you use them right, they both can help you increase your traffic and sales.

Amar Ilindra from Geekdashboard.com

SEO is not a one-day thing and it can’t be done completely with automatic tools. For Geek Dashboard and other niche sites, I do the half of SEO manually and another half with tools.

Here are the tools I’m using for my SEO works:

For keyword research, I use Google Keyword Planner and LongTail Pro.

To monitor my keyword rankings, I use serplab.co.uk which is a free tool and everyone should try it.

Use torch browser and VPN while doing manual link building.

Along with them, I use SEOquake, Moz, Nofollow checker and Alexa extensions on my browser.

I strongly suggest you to use Grammarly for proofreading and to avoid grammatical mistakes while writing new articles and eMails.

Camilla Simonsen from Tekstsprutten.dk

There are many SEO tools, many of them are free and available in a paid version with additional features / functionality. Many of these tools are often made in order to highlight specific problems. I use a lot of different tools. If you are looking for a really great tool that can help you stay organized, I recommend Searchmetrics, but you do not get the features for free.

The most important SEO tools that I use daily or weekly are:

SEOquake, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, Google Keyword Planner, Google Page, Speed Insights, GTmetrix (Yslow), Pingdom Tools, Rank Tracker, Woorank, Searchmetrics (essentials)

Andrew Shotland from Localseoguide.com

NAP Hunter (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nap-hunter/ligeiippheclogiddffemogcgpjmieao?hl=en)

Pretty much the only SEO tool you need besides your brain.

Ankit Singla from BloggerTipsTricks

Google Analytics – If you connect your Google Analytics account with your Google Webmaster Tools account, you can easily figure out what keywords are performing well and which ones aren’t for your site. You can then do better on-page SEO to increase your organic traffic.

Google Search Console – GSC is one of the most powerful tools, as it provides a ton of information about the site, including crawl errors, keywords analysis, HTML improvements, broken links, and more. GSC also allows you to see if there are any manual actions taken on your sites.

SEMRUSH – A great SEO tool for Keyword research & Site SEO audit. What I love about it is that it can tell you what keywords your competitors are ranking for. Moreover, you can also use this tool for finding new blog post ideas.

LSIGraph: It is a free tool that you can use to generate tons of quality LSI Keywords.

Atish Ranjan from Atishranjan.com

LTP => For keyword Research.

Ahref => For Link Analysis that helps in creating good link building strategy.

GSA => It is good to build links in bulk. I won’t advise to use it for regular sites, but for event sites. This is an awesome SEO tool to build backlinks.

Kulwant Nagi from Bloggingcage.com

I love Long Tail Pro, SEMRush and ahrefs the most.

LTP helps you to find some of the most untapped easy to rank keywords which can help you to start a professional blog and a big online business.

SEMRush is a spy tool which is helping me to SPY my competitors by stealing their backlinks, anchor texts and top ranking keywords.

Ahrefs is another smart player in the market giving a variety of tools like site explorer, position explorer, content explorer etc. By using content explorer feature on the site, you can find some of the best ideas to write your next blog post which can help to generate maximum exposure and many links.

Final Words

In this article, SEMRush received highest votes followed by Long Tail Pro. But we can’t ignore the other tools like Aherf, Google Keyword Planners, Google Webmaster Tool, Google Analytics etc. All are really Best SEO Tools
