TECHNOLOGY: Sabre integrates SynXis Central Reservations with TripCase app

Travellers use Tripcase app to manage their trip details in a single place.

Sabre has integrated its hotel reservation and distribution solution, SynXis Central Reservations, with TripCase, the travel itinerary management app for travellers (leisure and business).

With this integration, hoteliers are able to engage with guests via their mobile device before, during and after their arrival on property.

“This real-time personal communication will help hoteliers build their brand image, increase loyalty, and drive incremental revenue,” said Sabre.

For hoteliers, creating a meaningful personal connection with their guests can mean the difference between a loyal, returning customer and one who develops no real preference for the property, it added.

Reservations made through the Sabre GDS and the SynXis CRSynXis CR will automatically flow into the TripCase messaging channel, making it easy for hoteliers to message travellers with contextually relevant and personalised mobile messages featuring unique offers, upgrades and offers for hotel amenities including as spas and restaurants.

The update is now available to any Sabre hotel customer using SynXis Central Reservation System, who wants to make use of the integration, in all regions including Asia Pacific.

“TripCase is a natural fit for our hoteliers. As one of the most popular travel apps around, it gives hoteliers a highly effective channel to engage with their guests in a way that creates a differentiated experience and increases brand loyalty, ” said Sarah Kennedy, vice president of marketing for Sabre Hospitality Solutions.

Florian Tinnus, vice president, Sabre Traveller Experience, added that the integration “empowers hoteliers to efficiently target and reach travellers with timely and personalised messages.”

According to Sabre, TripCase is used by millions of travellers to manage all of their trip details in a single place.

HOTELS: The Warehouse – boutique riverside hotel with a rich history

The Warehouse Hotel on the bank of Robertson Quay in Singapore, the first property of The Lo & Behold Group, is set for a December opening.

The building occupied by the hotel has a rich history. Renovated from an iconic 1895 warehouse – known in Asia as a ‘godown’ – it is situated along an infamous trade route that connected Asia and the Straits of Malacca.

In the early 20th century the premises was a hotbed of activities for secret societies, business deals and underground spirit distilling.

Today, the 37-room Warehouse Hotel is meticulously restored to reflect its rich heritage and local culture. Its décor and furnishings are also reminiscent of the past and include traditional rattan and natural leather.

“The fact that The Warehouse Hotel is located in a ‘godown’ is particularly unique and creates the opportunity to offer something with depth and soul. We’re proud that this heritage project is our group’s inaugural hotel – owned, designed and operated 100% locally,” said Wee Teng Wen, managing partner of The Lo & Behold Group.

The hotel’s design is by Asylum, a Singapore-based agency.
