A dry week in southern areas, turning cooler from the north High pressure is going to be in control of the weather through the coming week. This is going to be bringing plenty ofm fair weather and good spells of sunshine, as well as much drier weather than we have seen recently. Towards the end of the week some cooler air may slip through Scotland, bringing some outbreaks of rain or showers, and this will slowly edge south. Southern parts of the UK and most of Ireland may stay dry throughout.

This is going to be bringing a cold start to the morning once again, with a risk of a slight frost. Then plenty of sunshine and dry conditions will be lasting throughout the day. Thicker cloud, associated with some weak fronts, bringing some rain into the north and west of Scotland and Ireland. Highs around 9 to 16C.

Friday 14/3/14 A cold front moving into Scotland on Friday brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain here, most of it to the north and west. More eastern and southern parts of Scotland should be drier. For England and Wales the day is going to be dry with some good spells of sunshine with tops at 7C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.

Saturday 15/3/14 The flow turning more into the west or northwest on Saturday as low pressure passes to the northeast. This brings a cooler, windier day through Scotland, with showery rain here. A few showers in northern England too, but for most it should be dry with some reasonable sunny spells, although feeling cooler. Tops at 9 to 12C. Sunday 16/3/14 High pressure forces itself back into southern Ireland on Sunday. Low pressure remains to the north of Scotland bringing a west to northwest wind and further showers. For most of southern Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland it should be dry though with some sunny spells. Tops near 9 to 15C. Monday 17/3/14 High pressure stays firm through Monday, again centred to the south of Ireland. This is going to bring fair conditions for most of England, Ireland, Wales and eastern Scotland. Weak fronts could bring some cloud and outbreaks of rain to the far north and west of Scotland. Tops at 10 to 16C. Tuesday 18/3/14 High pressure remains through Tuesday and brings another fair day to most. There could be some showers to the north and west however, most on western coasts and hills. Highs at 10 to 15C.
