A specialist app software company are looking for a visual interaction designer to craft compelling product ideas, user experiences and interfaces for their high profile software apps.

The founders worked with Steve Jobs helping to launch the iphone, App Store and hundreds of apps and still work with Apple as an enterprise partner.
Their approach is 'audience led, technology informed' so they blend in-house app strategies and interaction designers with specialise software engineers to help brands craft ideas and technology that actually work for businesses and audiences.
They deliver app strategy, mobile content, interaction design, software engineering, app marketing and audience analytics. They also develop and licence their own technology and ideas.
Clients have included Unilever, Sony, Sky, Mercedes-Benz, Sotheby's and Virgin.
The Role:
The Visual Interaction Designer will help lead and design the team and will be able to:
- They will think quickly on their feet, solving design and product challenges that may not have been tackled before in the fast growing app, mobile and touch screen space.
- Understand how to create user experiences and flows that surprise and delight because they meet audience needs and remove unnecessary steps and frustrations.
-understand how to balance human design with innovative interaction ideas that make them emotionally rewarding, inspired by usability and cutting edge interaction techniques.
- invent products and creative ideas as production invention briefs are tackled and be able to articulate their concepts in simple compelling terms.
- A strong eye for detail but doesn't get lost in the execution alone and knows how to maintain a perspective and guide a team towards delivering
-Is able to work in Agile and interatively craft concepts and ideas to deliver client ready assets and products to a high level spec.
The Team:
The Interaction Design team has 5 designers and you will need to lead and mentor junior members.
Other teams the Interaction Designer will work with include the engineering and strategy team.
To apply you will need:
- Experience designing for web and or mobile
- Experience working in a successful design team, with an agency with strong web skills, a mobile business or a company with an impressive track record in online and mobile development
- Excellent understanding of visual design and development trends including progressive enhancement, graceful degradation and responsive UI.
- Strong knowledge of User Experience and Information Architecture that stems from advising on and developing layout and navigation and solving design challenges
- Able to visualise interaction ideas using workflow diagrams, wireframes and prototypes and present these
- Excellent use of Adobe software specifically Photoshop & Illustrator
- Self motivated and a decision maker
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Hard working ethic while having a down to earth personality
IDEALS
- Specific iOS and / or Android app design experience
- Experience developing ideas and products and presenting them
- Working in an agile environment
- Copy writing experience for short body copy within apps
