Our client is a full service digital marketing agency that specialise, well in everything digital. As part of their proposition they provide innovative, fully integrated digital campaigns as well as web design/creative, UX, content strategy, organic and paid search, social media and biddable.
They are a young and ambitious company operating between London and Shanghai. They are now looking for a Commercial Director with digital experience to help them achieve their growth plans.

As Commercial Director you will be an integral part of the team in a thriving, dynamic, full-service Chinese Digital Marketing Agency. With a head office in London and a new office setup in Shanghai, the agency is experiencing positive growth in UK-China client portfolios by providing innovative, fully integrated, digital campaigns. This role will be based in our client's London office,, but should expect trips to China.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell our client's digital marketing services, including web design/creative, UX, content strategy, organic and paid search, social media, biddable, etc.
- Identify new business opportunities through attendance at events, networking and responding to leads to deliver highly effective and bespoke sales proposals
- Prepare custom sales pitches and pro-actively pitch for business on regular basis
- Manage and provide regular revenue and performance reporting
- Build and continually develop a sales pipeline to achieve targets for new, retained, and expanded business
- Manage pipeline and all opportunities for existing clients
- Build relationships with existing clients, in order to ensure client retention, and identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Lead and expand a sales team through a successful sales cycle on closing future business
Key Attributes
- If you have experience within the Chinese digital marketing arena, it would be a distinct advantage but not essential
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in an digital agency environment through a structured and consultative sales approach
- Proven track record of managing and building relationships with new clients and the ability to retain/upsell current clients
- Experience of selling to large well-known brands and comfortable operating at a senior level
- Experience of selling web analytics or similar Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including advanced client-facing and presentation skills and the ability to influence clients
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
- Mandarin language skills desirable, but by no means essential
