If you can’t keep your eyes open – imagine yourself as trainee fighter pilot embarking on his first dog fight. This aircraft was originally designed by Russian air force as a training aircraft for their pilots prior to graduating into higher tech military fighter planes such as MiG’s.
The paint scheme even has a story – it is that of the top scoring allied fighter ace of WWII, Ivan Kozhedub of the Red Air Force. Kozhedub holds the record for the highest number of confirmed air combat victories of any Soviet or Allied pilot. He is regarded as the best Soviet flying Ace of the war, holding records of 330 combat missions and 62 enemy aircraft shoot downs – also the number of stars on the side of the plane.
