Are you a golf lover like me? The desert is home to major tournaments, pro-ams, and many local golf events.
I have put together a list of my favorite courses here in the Palm Springs area.
1. Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage
These courses have a lot of history. They are the home of the ANA Inspiration, the tournament that was started by Dinah Shore in 1972.
2. The Classic Club, Palm Desert
The Classic Club is a fairly new course from Arnold Palmer design. It was the home of the Bob Hope Classic from 2006-2008. Wide open fairways and no palm trees or homes gives it a different look.
3. Eagle Falls Golf Course, Indio
This is a great course with plenty of challenges. Eagle Falls is also fairly new and part of Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. It is the home of the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational.

4. O’Donnell Golf Club, Palm Springs
Talk about history, this course has hosted many celebrities including Bob Hope. It was built in 1921 and is only nine holes. Find a friend to get you on and enjoy the historical experience!
5. Bighorn Golf Club, Palm Desert
Talk about spectacular, this private club is amazing, as are the homes around it! If you ever have the chance to play either of their two courses, don’t miss it. They have also hosted many tournaments.
6. Escena Golf Club, Palm Springs
The Palm Springs modern architecture is unique. Enjoy a round here near the Palm Spring’s International Airport.

8. Indian Canyon Golf Resort, Palm Springs
Here’s another course that has been a favorite for many years. The landscape is one of the best in the desert.
9. Ironwood Country Club, Palm Desert
A fabulous course in a private community that is nestled in the hillside. Like Bighorn, if you are able to get in here to play, don’t miss the experience!
10. SilverRock Golf Resort, LaQuinta.
Set against the Santa Rosa Mountains, it’s the former home course of the Bob Hope Classic. Golfers of all skills will enjoy SilverRock.
