Happy New Year, everyone! I feel like the Holiday season went by faster than ever and here we are with what is shaping up to be a fabulous and brand new year.
Although I’m willing to bet that none of you were sad to see 2016 go, I want to bring it back for just a moment to talk about a handful of very popular discussion threads we had over on DISboards.com. Let’s get to it!
Over on our ‘Disney Online Games‘ sub-forum of the ‘Just for Fun‘ boards, poster ‘LoriR‘ started a thread called “Disney Magic Kingdoms – Tips” when the popular game was released from Disney Interactive. If you’ve ever played the game, you know that you can create the Disney Park of your dreams by completing different tasks using many of your favorite Disney characters from Mickey Mouse to Anna and Elsa from Disney Frozen. In this thread, posters come together to discuss the logistics of the game and offer tips and tricks to get past certain levels. If you’re a gamer and love to play Disney Magic Kingdoms, stop by this thread for a plethora of great information!
Our posters really know how to have some fun over on our ‘Disney Cruise Line‘ forum by giving their stateroom doors a mini-makeover. Poster ‘idrivealumina‘ started the “Stateroom Mickey Ears and then some…” thread years ago and it remains tremendously popular as many Disney-themed templates have been carefully crafted to fit around the ‘porthole’ in each stateroom door to dress it up a bit. You can print the designs on magnetic sheets and stick them right to your door – no adhesive material is allowed to be used per Disney Cruise Line rules. Some of our regular visitors on our ‘Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies‘ forums may have noticed last year that we added a new ‘Everything FastPass+‘ sub-forum. On that sub-forum, you’ll find lots of different threads with personal experiences, detailed how-to’s, and when the best times are to schedule your FastPass+ in the different Theme Parks at Walt Disney World. These threads share the good, the bad, and the ugly! Oftentimes, new visitors to our boards have many questions regarding the ins and outs of using FastPass+ so poster ‘mesaboy2‘ created the “FastPass+ Frequently Asked Questions” thread. With things changing at Walt Disney World all the time, this thread is the place to be to stay up-to-date on all things FastPass+!
Sometimes when you’re in the planning stages of your Walt Disney World vacation, you might not be sure of which Resort to choose once you’ve made the decision to stay on Disney property. Disney’s Resorts are heavily themed, so once you know whether you’re wanting a Value, Moderate, Deluxe, or Deluxe Villa, the choice really lies mostly on the location and theming.
Did you know that we have a Questions and Information thread on every Walt Disney World Resort hotel? These threads each have all the pertinent details listed in the very first post of the thread and the threads are chock-full of great information and photos. You may not want to read through the entire thread, but did you know that you can search for keywords within the thread itself? Well, you can! It’s so helpful and can really help you navigate the thread more easily. Take a look at the thread entitled, “Looking for more information about Disney resorts? LOOK HERE FOR LINKS TO ALL THE RESORT THREADS!” that was started by poster ‘WDWKOOK‘ on our ‘Disney Resorts‘ forum.
Last but certainly not least, I want to bring the ‘Disney Rumors and News‘ forum to your attention; specifically, the “News Round Up 2016.” This thread was started by our Rumors and News Moderator, ‘rteetz‘ and in 2016, it was the best place on the boards to read up-to-the-minute breaking news and rumors surrounding the Disney Parks, Universal, SeaWorld, and much more. Photos of construction are shared regularly on this thread along with possible future plans and refurbishments; some light discussion on some of the topics at hand too. Extra! Extra!
