As I sat down to brainstorm on a topic to write about, I looked back on my previous post: http://www.wdwfanzone.com/2013/09/a-tribute-to-all-queues-but-mostly-jim-hensons-muppetvision-3d/ and realized I just needed to follow the lead of the Imagineers. So, moving right along, lets exit the Muppet Theater and follow the path left to the Stage 1 Company Store (because every attraction should end with a gift shop). Judging by the spotless work and meticulous attention to detail, it’s obvious that Animal had a hand in the painting of the exterior.

Moving on…as we enter the building we learn that this gift shop is used to store props from various Muppet productions. Specializing in merchandise for the Muppets as well as Phineas & Ferb, the gift shop carries everything from mugs and hats to watches and camera accessories. But that’s not what we’re here for today. Following the immortal words of Lou Mongello: “Look up, look down… just LOOK!”

The Imagineers did a fabulous job of covering every nook and cranny with puns and sight gags. There’s even hidden mickey shorts being hung out to dry. Speaking of dry, I hope that paint doesn’t ruin the merchandise!

The way I see it, everyone who takes the time to look at this wonderful shop will find something to smile about…well, everyone except that Prima donna Miss Piggy. I’m not sure I’d want to be Rizzo when she finds out what he did to her painting.
