A Dyersburg man was arrested by Union City police after giving false information.
Reports said officers were first called to Lowes, on Reelfoot Avenue, where a male subject was trying to con people out of money.
When arriving at the scene, police saw the vehicle given in a description leaving the scene, and a traffic stop was made.
The driver of the car, Leslie Nash of Dyersburg, initially gave the officers a false date of birth and Social Security number.
After admitting to his actual birth date and Social Security number, records indicated several prior convictions and a warrant for theft over $500 from the Union City Wal-Mart.
He was additionally charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license, and impersonation of a person, with his vehicle seized by police.
