PLAYOFF BASKETBALL – Last night’s girls playoff basketball scores included Decatur 46, Aubrey 35; Grandview 55, Boyd 42; Paradise 70, Godley 65; Alvord 34, Maypearl 29; and Slidell 54, Savoy 29. In boys basketball, Santo beat Chico 65-47 in the District 11-A tiebreaker game. Northwest also beat Fossil Ridge 73-68.
FUNDRAISER FOR CONN’S FAMILY – A dance fundraiser for Chris Conn’s family is 7-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at A-Bella Vita in Seagoville. Admission is $5, and other monetary donations will be accepted. DEMENTIA PROGRAM – The Virtual Dementia Tour is noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Weatherford College Wise County, 502 Big Sandy Court. The program is for caregivers, professionals and anyone who works with older adults. The tour will take participants from the beginning to late stages of the disease process, encompassing tasks and exercises that are essential for caregivers and professionals to understand. JOIN THE CLUB – The Oil Belt Senior Men’s Golf Association opens its 2014 season Monday, Feb. 17, at The Club at Runaway Bay. Men 50 years of age or older are invited to join the association, which is beginning its 23rd year. Enrollment fee is $20, and play is by handicap.
